You might try using nursery water, there is no need to boil it, it is cheapre than Dasani and the others. You can find it in gallon jugs in with the water. IT has a little pink lid and a baby on the front. It has flouride and other essential things in it that the baby won't get with regular bottled water. That is what I still use with my kids. But if you don't want to try that, then no, you don't need to boil.

Most bottled water is just filtered tap water. You should talk to your doctor and find out if you really need to boil. Most people who are on municipal water systems don't. It's mostly the people who use well water or have poor municipal water quality that need to boil. When you do boil, make sure that you only let the water boil for 1 mintue. Boiling longer evaporates water, thus concentrating everything else in the water, namely lead.

If its distilled don't use it at all. It should say on the bottle. but you don't even really have to boil tap water unless something is wrong with the water in your area. So, it should be fine straight out of the bottle. Distilled water depletes the calcium and other important minerals from your baby's body since the water doesn't have any. Check the nutrient facts on the back of the water.

I'm pretty sure all bottled water is purified. In the water section of your local grocery store is gallon jugs of water that says for baby formula and it also comes with flouride enhanced water for babies too, and its cheaper than Dasani. Myself. I have these 5 gal. jugs and a water cooler and I buy water out of the Culligan water dispenser. It filtered an ultra violet light for the final purification and it only costs 29 cents a gallon. And it tastes GREAT!!!

Babies nedd the flouride in the water that bottled water doesnt have. Tap water should be fine, I never boiled tap water for my son, but if you feel more comfortalbe doing it, go ahead. Or you can use Nursery water. It's made especially for formula mixing and it's got the flouride in it that babies need.

The best water for using with baby formula is bottled distilled water. Dasani is probably OK, but it does have some flavor enhancers and additives in it. Plus it can be expensive.
The best is bottled distilled, plus it is less expensive if you are on some sort of budget.
Bravo to you, also for breast feeding. It is the best out of everything.

Always boil it as a matter of course - your baby doesn't have the capacity to fight off even the smallest amount of bacteria in the water.
