My son didn't crawl until 10 months and he walked at 19 months. Now (at almost 4), he's running and jumping and doing everything normally.
Yes, it's fine!

My son just turned 8 months & he is not doing the typical crawl yet either. He is doing a commando crawl so can get himself around, but he does get frustrated with it at times. He seems more content to sit and play. But, as everyone else said, do not worry about it! Crawling can happen anywhere between 7-10 months give or take a little. Some infants skip it entirely. Enjoy your baby!

Totally normal. My daugter didn't stand on her own until she was about 11 months and she didn't crawl until she was closer to 1 yr. There is a book called what to expect the first year that gives a good outline for a baby's ddevelopment in the first year. Keep in mind also that all babies develop at their own rate. What's normal for your friends or siblings baby may not be nromal for yours. He'll crawl ,stand and walk soon enough. Enjoy these last stationary months...they are coming to an end VERY soon!

This is normal for boys. Boys for some reason tend to develope a little slower than girls. My daughter was walking at 6 months, and my son didnt start walking till after his first birthday. You can talk to your doctor, but they will most likely tell you the same thing. Also you can help him by showing him how to crawl. or holding his hands, while letting him take steps. When he is able to get up on his hands and knees, you can also move his arms, and knees for him, to give him the idea of crawling. But once he gets it down he wont stop!!!! Good Luck!

That's fine, some babies start crawling and standing early some start late. My boy started crawling at 9 months, he could stand holding on to things at 9 1/2 months and is only starting to stand on his own now at 14 months.

All babies are different...I've seen babies crawl at 6 months, and some who skip crawling altogether and go straight to scooting and walking. Pulling up/standing up takes a lot more coordination, since babies' lower bodies are not as strong as their upper bodies, so that can take longer. If your baby isn't standing/cruising/walking by well beyond a year, then there might be an underlying reason. If you aren't sure, definitely talk to your baby's doctor.
Note: I was worried to death because all three of my kids walked "late" (15 months, 15 months again, and 16 months), but they reached their other developmental milestones, and my ped reassured me that everything was okay. :)

When I worried that my daughter wouldn`t crawl or stand my health visitor told me that very few normal girls crawled up the aisle on their wedding day.
I took this to mean there is plenty of time for these skills to be learned at their own pace.
Stop worrying and enjoy your baby, believe me when he gets mobile you will wish he was 7 months old again.

Yes it's normal. Pulling self to stand usually occurs around 9 or 10 month. Crawling can occur anytime, and some kids skip it all together so it's not considered a predictor of future behavior and in my profession we dont even care about it.

Yes. My baby is 9 months and she's not crawling either, although she scoots around a lot. She's just now getting her first tooth, too.
But she's so aware and emotionally present, I can tell already she's a smart girl. It's nothing to worry about.
