I registered at Target already, but there are a few things I really want to register for at Babies-r-us. I don't know how to register at two places. Should I make sure I have an even amount at both places, or should I register for everything I need at both places, then do exchanges if I double up on something? Advise or ideas please?

(oh and just out of curiosity how many things did you put on your registry?)

Thanks for everyone that gave such great answers about only giving a baby pumped milk. You've convinced me that it's not a good idea. SO. How much trouble did you run into by doing some of your feedings directly from the breast, and some from expressed milk? Did the baby have a hard time adjusting from breast to bottle so frequently? Based on the agreement my husband and I have worked out, the baby would be fed from expressed milk every other day. I know that my doctor could answer a lot of these questions, but I'm looking for real-life opinions! Thanks!

I am have decided to buy either the Britax Marathon or Decathlon car seat for my 7 month old. He is 20-lb and 26 inches long. I have a Chevy Cavalier Sedan. Which one should I buy and is there a place that I can get them cheaper than $250? Are the ones on ebay really knockoffs like Britax claims?

I have been babysitting an infant now for about 2 weeks and I am finding it too much to handle. I have a 4 month old and the baby is 2 months old. I find myself exhausted and I am finding it hard when two babies need my attention at the same time. My daughter can fall asleep on her own and she usually nurses for 15 minutes. The baby girl that I watch needs lots of help to fall asleep and she takes an hour to feed, at which point my daughter usually wants my attention. I thought I could handle the situation but I over estimated my abilities. I feel awful and almost guilty that I am letting this really nice family down. How can I break it to them? Will they understand?

My son turned 2 weeks old on saturday and I am trying to breatfeed him. He sucks so hard he has worn a blister on his upper lip and has caused me a great deal of pain. I have been pumping on the times that he is not breastfeeding and I am getting so discouraged because of the pain taht I think I want to just give him a bottle from now on. I have tried all the ointments and creams and nothing seems to be helping. When I asked my lactation consultant about it she said he was latching properly and that some babies suck harder tahn others. Anyone have any advice for me?????

my five week old baby will not look anyone in the face. i know this is a sign of autism, but is it too early to tell, or is it that my child is still too young to like to look at faces?

I'm 13 and I live with S.(27-year-old friend of mine) and my twin-daughters (4 months old). S. works in FBI and she often has to work at nights and sometimes has a work at home and other agents come. It's ok but when ANYONE comes and see my daughters, they say "What cuuuute sweeeet babies" and want to touch them with their dirty hands.I and S always wash our hands with a soap before touching the twins but other people just don't consider the fact that my babies are still BABIES!What should I do?And what can S. do about that(if she talk with the other what can she say - "Don't touch the babies!"???)?And am I overreacting and overprotecting my babies? Please help!

Tonite, I set her up in a nice motel with the baby. She just cant take it anymore. The father of the baby is a total mental misfit and thank the Lord she didnt marry him. He has made my niece cry at least 4-5 times in the last couple of weeks and I have never seen her cry. He is very critical, says she cant do anything righ and he real is just a drunken slob.
She took me up on my motel room for the nite offer and I am hoping she can get some peace. I sent my daughter who is 19 and able to babysit along, so she can just relax. Should I do anything else to help her out or just stay out of it? Is this wrong? We did not tell him where she is and I am playing stupid. I am an advocate for domestic violence victims because I was in the same situation 20 yrs ago, and do not feel like I had any support. I just am trying to help her out...and he is an alcoholic and I cannot believe how terrible he talks to her. Its a matter of time before he starts becoming physically abusive.

Hello! Thanks for taking time to read this question! Your input is greatly appreciated! I am 31 weeks pregnant with my second child and i have become facinated by the concept of baby wearing. I have looked at several sling and pouch style baby carriers but most of them seem to be made for average size parents. If anyone has a good reccomendation for a baby carrier made for plus size parents or maybe a pattern to make one i would appreciate it! Thanks again!
