oh sweetheart, i know EXACLTY what yu mean, i have a 4 month old and since he was 1 month he doesnt sleep during the day. i almost cry when he very very seldom sleeps 45 minutes. He sleeps absolutely wonderful at night but during the day. NOTHING. its frusturating cuz yu cant get anything done or get any naps in for your self. but hes normal, there is nothing wrong with him. thats just his sleeping style.
i spoke to mai, well mai son's!!, pediatrician and he said it was fina as long as he eats well and sleeps at night.
so dont worry, i know it kinda sux. but theres nothing you can do really. wait til hes a few months older, maybe since he'll be playing more he'll tire himself out and sleep.
good luck.

He's definitely not sleeping enough. That works out to just 7-8 hours a day, when he should still be getting 14-16.
I really don't know everything about your situation so I'll just throw some things out.
Try swaddling him and putting him down for a nap about a half hour after he gets done eating. It could be that he's overtired, which actually works against a baby falling asleep.
Try letting him cry it out. The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes that some babies actually need and benefit from a few minutes of crying before falling asleep.

Well shoot... I was going to recomend a sling... but the others beat me to it! lol I would talk to the doctor about the lack of naps in the day time. My kids took at least one day time nap until they were 2 and 3 years old.

Buy a sling and carry him around. You can slide it to your back if necessary. Lots of women around the world do this. Just do a google search for baby slings to get additional info and to select one that will work for you. You can make your own as well.

Get use to it!
Wait till he starts crawling. You think you can't get anything done now.
As for sleeping, babies have no set schedules. They sleep when they are tired.
Good luck to you!
