Depending on the baby's age, if under one year old like somebody mention before, babies get enough water from the milk they drink. Don't worry.
PS: Don't give the baby water with sugar.

Well.....it would really depend on the age of the baby. If the baby is under one year and nursing well there is no reason for the baby to drink water. Breastmilk meets all the requirements for liquid that the baby needs. He will drink water when he needs it. Let nature take its course, he will know when he needs water.

This may seem harsh, but it works: at the baby's normal feeding time, give him/her water instead of milk. Baby will cry, however, eventually, she/he will drink. You won't be starving him/her, and he/she will give in before you do, as long as you stick with it. Then start introducing water once a day, and gradually increase it. And don't EVER add sugar or sweeteners to the water. Been doing this for 16 years now...it's always worked for me.
Also, if baby is breastfeeding, water isn't really needed.
good luck.

How old is your baby, cause young babys should not be drinking water at all. Milk is the most important thing it needs...

You did'nt say how old your baby is, but just keep trying with a bottle of boiled, cooled water. Give it to her/him at times other than sleep times and major feed times, when they will naturally prefer milk. Keep at it, and even if it is only a tiny bit that he/she drinks..it's a start and they should get used to it. I thought my first child did'nt like water, but realise now that i just wasn't persistent in giving it to him. my second child drinks a lot of water and has since she was about 8 weeks old, due to trying small amounts frequently. Good luck!

My toddler began ingesting water from day a million now she is 8month previous and love ingesting water. maximum individuals will say do no longer, yet he /she is human and that i see no reason to no longer. i'm a mom to a wholesome 8month toddler. Now she is teething and attempting to stand water is all she want.

How old is your baby?
If less than a year old, baby really only needs breastmilk or formula, no water.

maybe water the milk down a little at a time so its mostly water after a week or so..I'm not an expert by any means, but milk is mostly water anyway I believe..it's liquid and most anything liquid we drink is mostly water..make sense? liquid, water, water, liquid...our body is mostly water also, but hard to believe, huh?
