Newborn & Baby - April 2007

My baby is 4 months old and I am trying to figure out which soap is better recommended, Ivory or Dove. Or are they both equal?

My 4 mth old has blood in his stools, not every one but two or three a day. I have been to the doctor and had samples taken which came back clear. I have been refererd to a pediatrition and am waiting for them to ring me for a app. my baby is otherwise happy health and growing. should I be contact the hospital for immediate app?

I earn £2400 a month after tax and i spend £1500-1600 a mth on mortge & bills.(inc food shopping) i make sure the baby has about 100-150 a month for bits and pieces and i need 200-250 a month for travelling and work expenses.my wife gets £400 for herself . that means only max. £200 every month saved & it is starting to worry me.. I have asked my wife to cut her spending down to 200-250 so we could save more. i have already suggested making lunches for myself from monday to save 100-150 a month i spend on lunches. but she is not prepared to budge and says i am being selfish? am i? i dont think so. im trying so hard to make her and my bay happy but now i am feeling drained emotionally. she says she needs some comforts as a woman every month i.e waxing hair done etc.. and that i coundlt understand. i say why not wax from home? but she gets angry wen i suggest that. i have now started to do overtime at office to make more money and dnt get home till after 9pm and am so tired and drained.

just cut her 2 bottom teeth ans she has been having mild diariahh,and she has not really been sleeping good at nite,she toses and turns half of the nite!is this normal??about how much longer can i expect thisd to go on for??

My husband and I were just invited to attend his friend's newborn son's bris. The baby was just born on Monday. We are planning on attending (but not watching) and I just wondered about the etiquette: is this a gift giving occassion?

And if so, what gifts would be appropriate? Perhaps some vicodin? (just kidding)

I am on maternity leave right now with our first baby. I cant imagine sending her to day care as she is so precious and I dont want to miss out on the bonding. Also I cant afford daycare as my paychecks would not be able to cover both my bills and daycare. What is a nice way to tell work that you wont be coming back after all.

i had to have an emergency c section because the baby's heartbeat slown down so bad. the surgeon cut my baby's cheek bone, very close to his left eye. the doc said because i had no water in my uetrus! he said i must have lost it gradually. also he said the baby won't have a scar. imy son is almost 8 weeks and i still see the cut even if it's healed. the doc was nice and i was nice too and didn't complain. is what i did fine or i should have complained? is his mistake acceptable? please give me your opinons specially doctors. thanks

Some times I tend to over react but I have a 10 1/2 month old and he just doesnt really do anything yet he babbles a lilttle but no words and he doesnt crawl or walk and he just doesnt seem to pay attention to things and he is always playing by himslef even at daycare when he is with other babies and i would just like some input form other moms. he also doesnt really respnd to his name alot and he just seems to tune everyone out I know he is still young and babies do things at their own rate but wiht the autism becoming so common im just scared. thank you

i have a ten month old son whom my husband gave custody to his parents bc he wasnt ready i willingly signed papers under the impression id get him back once we were on our feet well now we are and she has no intention of letting me have custody again...how do i fight this so i get sole physical custody back? i dont want to lose bc i know we can afford him i just want to hold him alot more than i already do
