Infant tylenol is more concentrated than children's tylenol, and there are less doses in a bottle.
So you can substitute one for the other but you have to pay attention to the concentrations. You need almost twice as much children's tylenol to equal the same amount of infant tylenol.

Same active ingredient, different concentrations. You cannot give your child the same dose of children's tylenol that you would give of infant's tylenol. However, ask your doctor -- you might be able to give children's tylenol at a younger age than the label suggests (if your child weighs enough). This would be extremely economical since infant tylenol is considerably more expensive.

If you do the math on the dosage and concentrations, I believe you get more medicine for the money buying infants. We still give our 3 year infants, basically cause of this, and the syringe is so much easier.
Now dont get me started on how they changed the tylenol cold and cough medicine (all has to do with the pseudophederine)

No it is not the same thing. Childrens tylenol contains more acediminafin than infants. All doses are based on weight so check out tylenols website for a chart on dosage according to weight.

Yes. Generally the label on the infants will tell you the infant dose, while the label on the childrens will tell you the childrens dose. But the medication is exactly the same

Infants tylenol and childrens tylenol are the same thing. acetominophen. However infants tylenol is weaker then the childrens tyelenol. Call a pharmacist if you need to use it, to see what the dropper size is.

No, they're not. Infant's Tylenol is more concentrated because of babies' tendencies to spit it out. Always follow the dosing instructions EXACTLY!
