The universal language of survival. They don't think in a language. You don't need a language to know you're hungry, tired, cold, wet, want to be held, etc. They FEEL. They react instinctively. Language comes later.

I agree with everyone. Babies do what they need to do to survive. Everything they do is a reflex (rooting, stepping, fencing). They respond to the language they hear in the womb more than others. There has been research done where a baby who hears the language they hear the most sucks slowly and relaxed. When they hear a different language they suck harder and more quickly.

that's a hard one, but they hear you from in the womb so maybe they learn then, who really knows, i think its like learning a language and they learn as they go
