It looks like her head is peeling and I took the advise of the doctor and used special shampoo but it isn't working. I am afraid her hair will fall out. I brush it out with a comb twice a day and really scrub it during bath time any advise?

Yep. My daughter had cradle cap in the same spot on top of her head for a long time, too. There is this really good cradle cap ointment you can buy in the baby food/diapers aisle. It's expensive (around $8) but it works. Just use a little, rub it in after a bath, and sometimes that stuff will just rub off like dry skin. The only problem is the lotion stinks! But you only have to use it about once a week.

my daughter has that to, her doctor told us it was scalp seborrhea and has us using Tgel shampoo 3 times a week. Not sure if thats what you are already using or not but it can take some time for it to work. My doctor DID advise us not to peel the flakes or scabby patches off of her and NOT to scrub to hard as that can just exacerbate the problem. Before we stopped scrubbing and peeling them off she was losing hair, now that we stopped doing that and are just normally washing her hair three times a week with the Tgel and brushing normally her hair is not falling out anymore.

I use this on all my children and it is great especially if they have thick hair cause it gets in down deep. CureCare conditioner from Sally Beauty Supply stores. A fairly large bottle is $3 in US. after washing babies hair put the conditioner on and let sit. Wash the rest of baby let play for a bit and then rinse hair and comb it out. Flakes come out as you comb the hair and the hair is left nice and clean, no greasy smelly creams. go to sallybeauty.com for store locators. Good luck.
