Better get shopping!
Get a few plain sleepsuits and vests, a hat and scratch mittens - you will get lots of presents so don't buy to much!
Nappies and wipes.
Bottles and steriliser and formula - if your bottle feeding. Maybe get a dummy (pacifier) too even if you don't intend on using one there is nothing worse than realising at 4am that it might be worth a try!
A crib/moses basket or whatever your wanting the baby to sleep in. Blankets and sheets for the bed.
A car seat for the trip home and a pram or stroller so you can get out and about when you feel up to it.
For yourself get big knickers from a cheap store, lots of sanitry towels and breast pads. You leak from all ends for a week or so! And stock up on paracetomal.

#1 MUST HAVE -- "The Baby Book" by Dr. William Sears. This is WAY better than the "What to expect" series.
Bedside co-sleeper, 2 bedside co-sleeper sheets, Infant car seat, Baby sling (I like the Moby Wrap) to keep baby close and content, a couple of warm blankets, a bunch of receiving blankets (used for changing mats, burp clothes, etc.), a Boppy Nursing Pillow, a few infant gowns (for easy changing), baby onsies, baby booties and a cap or two. Cloth diaper service or go with the unbleached disposable diapers ... Seventh Generation Diapers (chlorine bleached diapers are bad for babies). A gentle and natural baby body wash, lotion, etc. I like "California Baby" because it doesn't have the harmful sodium laurel/laureth sulfate in it. And contrary to what someone said... you don't need powder for a babies butt. Just be sure to change diapers often and pat dry before re-diapering. I like Burts Bees Diaper Rash Cream in the event of a red tushie. Weleda Calendula cream provides a great light barrier to prevent rashes in between diaper changes if you opt to do that.
You don't need a swing or a bouncer... you should hold your baby in a sling as much as possible during the first 6 months... it's good for their muscles and development... and bonding. You want to limit the use of the "baby holders".
Best wishes!! And congrats.

A crib or bassinet, some babies love swings and some don't. Some sleepers, t-shirts, receiving blankets, bottles, nuk, blankets, crib sheets, carseat, bouncers are nice. Toys aren't a huge necessity in the beginning. Babies do like the mobiles or other musical crib toy. A stroller designed for infants (it lays down) is an absolute.

You can get lists of things on many sites but you'll need this:
-crib (somewhere for baby to sleep)
-cloths (around 10 bodies and 10 All-In-One Outfits. Make sure they can be put on them easily. This is enough for 3 days)
-hats 1 for inside one for outside(warmer)
-dipers ( You'll go fast through them first but don't overstock. They go from no.1 to no.2 size in a month or even less)
-baby wipes, cotton, alcohol (for cleaning their belly button)
-pacifier
-bottle and some baby formula (just 1 in case if you breast feed, if not you'll need more)
-sterilizator (only if you bottle feed)
-only toy or two don't overdo it here, they won't be interested in toys for a few months
-DON'T buy too many creams, soaps. You only need baby oli and powder for their butt at first.
-baby monitor can be handy as well if you live in a big house.
-socks and gloves (only 2-3 pairs. They don't get dirty quick)
-A desk where you can change dipers
You don't need those plastic tubs for washing the first month.
Since it's not recomended going out the first month you can wait with a stroller, but it might be easier to buy before the baby comes.
You will need a baby basket (or something to cary the baby around)
That's pretty much it. You'll see later what else you need and don't.

Diapers, wipes, plenty of sleepers. a bassinet or snuggle nest. Infant carrier and a baby wrap. Also with the coming home outfit. Bring several different size clothing with you the clothes at the hospital gift shop are outrageously priced. You want to make sure you have something that fits. Any one of the toys that you mentioned are fine. You may want to put them down so you can free up a hand while cooking or something

I could list a TON of stuff on here, but your best bet is to check out the baby sites like pregnancy.com, or any sites like that. There are some sites that will provide you with a checklist. Walmart.com has maternity checklists.
One thing aside from the obvious (diapers, bottles, crib, etc..) get LOTS of baby wipes! Learning to properly clean up poopy baby butts at first will take lots of wipes! Especially as much as they poop the first few weeks! A baby swing helps calm a baby at newborn ages. And colorful baby toys helps your babies mind grow! Check out walmart.com and their lists of maternity checklists...
And have a baby shower! Other people around you know what you'll need to, and it's cheaper for you to get those things for free:)

Things that you will really need are:
Car seat-to bring baby home
Diapers-you will need heaps but dont buy too many in newborn sizes as they grow too quickly
Clothes-just buy a few onesies or gowns, they are the easiest things to change on baby
The most important thing you baby needs though is love

Here's what you need before the baby is born:
diapers, wipes, cream
washcloths, burp cloths, swaddling blankets
onsies, gowns, caps, sleepers
car seat, front carrier/or stroller, swing
You also need a place for baby to sleep. He/she won't need a crib for about 3 months. Look into a bassinet or cradle.
Congrats!
