I only have a son, and he's pretty easy. Doesnt usually complain, started sleeping through the night at one month, has a great personality, granted he's 7 months but you did say boys are harder as babies. According to my aunt and my mother and my grandmother all the girls they had including me were horrible as babies and of course as teens. So, from what ive seen girls are just hard to raise all around. So, i cant agree.

I have a nine year old daughter and a 7 year old son, and in my case, my daughter has always been the more difficult of the two. They are both great kids, but she is more demanding, needy etc.

Definately my son was a hard one to care for as a baby. My daughter was a perfect baby.
