Some people do and some don't. Breastfeeding uses up about 500 calories per day so it makes it easier to lose weight but you still have eto consume fewer calories than you expend - if you go on a never ending eating binge you won't lose any weight and might gain some. Breastfeed, eat a balanced healthy diet and get some exercise every day - a walk with baby is great - and you should shed the pregnancy weight soon!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Some women do, and others don't. I gained 50 during pregnancy and lost 75 in 10 1/2 months solely by breastfeeding. No exercise, except chasing the kids. Others have said they've lost a little. The chance is that you will lost some, if not a lot, so why not? Good luck!

Yes, I did lose all of my pregnancy weight (35 lbs.) and am now 10 lbs. less than when I became pregnant and my baby is 8 months old now. It's been so nice because I've been able to eat the extra calories too and not worry about it! I've noticed that I've lost it more in my legs and butt, so all of my pants are now sagging. But, even though I lost a lot of weight, the tone in my stomach is definitely a bit mushier, but I do feel skinny again : ) Best wishes!

Well, I did! I started out at around 125 lbs, and gained 25 during my pregnancy. I lost it all very quickly, and within a year I was down to 110 lbs! I haven't been that small since high school, and I'm 35 years old! The only thing I'm doing differently is breastfeeding. She just sucks those calories right out of me!

My sister-in-law was thin for the first time in her life right after her babies were born. Now the youngest is weaned, she's not pregnant and the pounds ae coming back. I exercise, eat right and have been breastfeeding for three years (two different kids) and I can't take any weight off. It varies for everyone, but it's a small price to pay. Good luck!

i think it is, from experience. i have a 3 week old son, and at my last dr visit before i had him i weighed in at 176 and my prepregnacy weight was at 158 and im down to 148 after 3 weeks of breastfeeding. so you figure after half a week of being home i went from the 176 to 155, thats a little over 20 lbs and you lose generally 12-15 imediatly following babies birth, and im still losing weight like water

you say a LOT..hahha just from breastfeeding i am sorry but no. but breaastfeeding CAN help with loosing weight faster, because breastfeeding helps the uterus fgo down rapidly and also you are burning more calories. but if you breastfeed eat a good diet (healthy) and excersice, then you might get back to normal.

You burn more calories faster (you also eat and drink to keep up) some people think it really helps speed up the weight loss process or give you a good nudge in the direction.
