There are two ways to define biblical names -- either you adhere strictly to the names of people in the bible, such as Hannah, Elijah, and Daniel, or you can be a bit looser, and include words that appear in the bible, such as Bethany, Hope, and Grace, that did not refer to actual people, but came to be used as names over the centuries.

though quite common but lovely all the same,,, hannah, i nemed my daughter that and it suits her perfectly, only now she is refered to as hannah with a H as so many people call her Anna. I never thought about people calling her Anna when i named her,,, asyou can tell as her middle name is Ann lol....
still i wouldnt have named her anything else she makes a lovely HANNAH................ it also spells the same backwards as it does forwards which is a small conversational start!

Delilah, which ever way you'd prefer to spell it, even though she was a wicked person in the bible.

Hannah

Not many girls are named Mary anymore.

I don't, just look through the bible.
