Normal does not exist, it may be unusual but nothing to really worry about. Just think of all the norms that don't fit you. Otherwise give the baby time, he's probably focusing on other tricks to put up for you.

Yes, my first child didn't at that age. She didn't even crawl until 11 months. And she is now 5 years old, and is just as active as any other kid. If she is taking her child for well baby check ups, then there is no cause for concern.

Every child developes at a different rate. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about. If she still feels that this is a developmental step that the child should be at then she should discuss this with her pediatrician.

sure it is,
we have children that dont speak a word for two years, then one day just start talking, in those cases its because their sibbling answer all the questions and they dont see the need to speak, so your answer is still all children are different in some ways. Babe Ruth didnt walk until he was a yankee.
