my son is two years old. unfortnely we share the same room. its me ,my bf, daughter and son. i don't think it has anything to do with sharing a room. My son wakes up even out of his naps crying. He sometimes wakes up in the middle night and sits up crying.its pretty quiet for the most part and they don't wake up to eachother. my daughter cries for a few mintues for a bottle but goes back to sleep. does anyone know how i can make him feel better. not to mention he likes sleeping in our bed

I think my partner is being very inconsiderate at the moment, but he doesn't seem to think so at all. What do you think so? We have an 11 week old baby, I'm breastfeeding so there's not too much he can do, but even so - I do all changes, baths and gettin up with her in the night when she just won't sleep. Fair enough in the week when he has to go to work, but even at the weekend he sleeps happily through it all and doesn't even offer to lend a hand. I've been really ill the last few days with a cold, being sick and an ear infection, and rather than staying home last night to help with baby so I could have a rest he went out with his friends. Then baby was up all night, he woke a couple of times to go to toilet, didn't even come down to offer to help even though he knew how ill I was feeling. I was hoping to get some rest today while he's at work, but he's forgotten something and so, as i don't drive, I now have to take a half hour walk then 1 and a half hour bus ride to take it

to shut the door to the nursey and my bedroom door at night. My baby has started shrieking for attention in the middle of the night. Its VERY loud and goes on for an hour or more. Our rooms are very close and I'm exhausted. I know its only for attention as she laughs when I go in. Do u think it would be wrong of me to shut the doors to get a bit more rest and let her shriek it out? she is 6 months

my friend just had a baby and desperately wants to breast feed but she is hardly able to produce any at all. She has to feed him formula to suppliment him afterwards and he seems to prefer that because its easier to get the milk out. She doesn't want him to formula feed but the baby is not gettting enough from her. She hates expressing and only a few drops come out when she does it. She has been given medication but it had not increased the milk production. The baby seems to get tired of sucking from her breast and falls asleep hungry. How can she increase breast milk without medication and without expressing and avoid giving formula? I am frustrated right alongside her as i don't know how i can help her. Anyone have a similar experience or any suggestions?

I have noticed in the past couple of weeks my 16 month old son prefers to walk on his tippy toes, rather than flat feet

but at the same time his right foot sometimes just gives way under him causing him to trip over.

Is this him just discovering he can walk on his tippy toes or could there be a problem.
have anyone elses child done this?

he has been walking competently since he was 10 months old without this happening

My husband met an old friend last night and learnt that his 15 year old son had recently died suddenly in his sleep.
My husband told him I would Email his wife today.
I have sat here crying for hours trying to think what to write.
Nothing I write means anything.
Does anyone know what I should write as I haven't a clue.
Or any sites that could help me?

In a dream I was pregnant, but upon waking I wasn't.
Or maybe I was--I don't remember.

My son is very emotional and can cry at the littlest thing. He doesnt share or accept that taking part in activities is fun he always wants to win although as not the most coordinated child this isnt very often. Although it is difficult to admit his behaviour can be very frustrating and I often think I love him more than anything but I dont like him and that hurts. What is more I am sure he picks up on this.I have attempted everything when he is with me to build up his confidence but nothing works. I have spoken with other children in his school and they just say he is annoying, crys at everything and tells the teacher on everyone for the littelst thing. I understand that it must be in part to do with the way I have brought him up but his younger brother is the exact opposite. Happy to take any advise but not sure which way to go. Thinking of taking him to councelling along with myself in an attempt to deal with this but wanted to know if anyone else had ideas I could try.

So when mothers choose at 1 year of age to stop breastfeeding or formula feeding. Then where do their babies get their nutrients? Do they just feed their children what we eat or what? I know people that do this but i just dont know how their babys get full.. Whats your take on it? and is 12 months too young for regular food and no more milk on a daily basis?

Alright, I work at an after school care at a primary school & one of the girls there is 10 years old & her life is HELL.
She's been in & out of foster families for years now & as I am only 16 years old I cannot do a thing about it... but when I turn 18 is it possible for me to take her in? Is there any conflict of interest things stopping me? How do I go about it?
She leaves the school at the end of next year & I need to know how to find her when I'm 18 as I can't mention my idea to anyone yet but it's something I feel very very strongly about.
Please let me know if you need any further details but I do need help!
I can't stand to let this happen to her... she just doesn't show how she's really feeling, she'll grin & bear it no matter what!

I'm a 17 year old girl and I've had my period for almost 6 years. My cycles are extremely irregular, ranging anywhere from 30 to 60 days, but usually they come within 6 weeks. I am a virgin. However, about 3 or 4 weeks ago I touched my boyfriend's penis, through his underwear - not directly. It was just a touch, but his underwear did seem slightly damp. It's been 8 weeks since my last period, and I am wondering what's up with my cycle. I realize that the chances of pregnancy are slim - I just touched, the earliest time my hand came in contact with my vaginal area was at least 12 hours later, and then only outside of it, not really the opening itself...
I've heard different things like sperm (if there was any present) can only live up to 24 if out in the open air
But, I've been gaining weight lately and there's still that problem with my cycle. Or could it be just psycho somatic?

Should I be concerned? I feel like an idiot for asking but it's really driving me crazy..

Everyday at least 3-4 times a day I have to have a knock down drag out with my 4 yr. old son. He hits, kicks, screams, throws things, spits, & uses fowl language at me. I have tryed everything to get him to stop. I've read parenting books as well. The main problem is that I have a 13 yr old step son who does not like me at all. He refuses to do what I say 99% of the time. Not only that but ever since my 4 yr old has been born, he has been subjected to the abuse and fowl language that the 13 yr. old does to me. He still calls names and foul language is still used by my13 yr. old. Also, his way of releasing anger is the throw things or break stuff. How am I supposed to teach my 4 yr. old to respect me,my stuff & listen & do what he is told if he has watched my 13 yr old get away with it.We're in counseling w/ the 13 yr. old. We have tried everything w/him as well & he just refuses to obey. Nana favors him as well & thinks he's a good kid who does no wrong so that doesn't help.
