I made the big mistake of puting our daughter in bed with us from day dot, now I am having huge problems trying to get her to sleep alone. She screams to the point of hysterics if I put her in hte cot awake. Also she wakes every 2-3 hrs and will not go back to sleep with out being on my boob! She is on solids now and still not sleeping any longer. I am so exhausted and really need advice please help me.
Also she refuses a dummy or a bottle.

my 7 yr old is very jealous of my 2yr old daughter. He is abusive and rude whenever she gets any kind of attention
He even has started to be violent towards his childminder in my abscence.

I try to give them equal attention but he finds it difficult to understand that he is capable of doing more than her and so she sometimes needs more help.

i always greet him 1st when i return from work and he has almost 2hours with me in the evenings without his sister when shes in her bed asleep. plus we have trips out just me and my son - yet still this is not enough he just does not wish to share me with her.

I have requested an apointment with our gp for a referal for guidance, in the mean time please give me some advise as to how to deal with this situation.

my 27 month old daughter, knows about the potty, how to control when to go, and where to go etc. i'm absolutely confident that she has it sussed. however, she has decided to use it as a control battle, and won't use it. i make sure that she sits on in it regularly, but instead of going, she holds it in... and then 5 minutes later she lets rip, even if it isn't a desperate need to go!
i need to make her realise that actually going potty is a better idea than weeing and pooing in her pants. any suggestions. and no, explaining it to her doesn't work. she isn't interested... if mummy wants her to wee in the potty she controls the situation by not going in the potty.

i am feeling really dissopointed in myself at the minuite. my mother died when i was five so i dont know who to talk to. i live with my father who can be very abusive (shouting) he also likes to drink alot. i have met a fella and have been seeing him for the last 6th months. we usually use protection as i am on the pill but one night we were drunk and didint use any. im still at school doing a-levels hoping to go to university, im scared of what my dad will say. i am that petrified i am i havent taken a test incase it shows positive. i dont know what to do. i have been getting all the first signs of pregnancy.

I wanted to discuss a serious problem that I face. During an intercourse, it takes a long time for me to have an orgasm but by that time my partner is completely exhausted and she is able to hold up long enough. We both desperately want to have a child. I want to know if there are any methods to overcome this problem.
Also are there any possibilities of my partner getting pregnant, if I collect my semen after masturbation into a container and delibrately introduce/pour it into the vagina of my partner (My partner doesnt feel pain when i put my fingers into her vagina). Has anyone tried this?

We now know the main issue is the sitting on the toilet. His wees are no prob, but asks for a nappy for poos. We've tried cold turkey no nappies but he will hold on for up to 8 days with tummy aches and then go in his undies. We've done the charts, bribes, making the toilet a fun place etc, but nothing can break through this fear. I've even tried suppositries to MAKE him go so I can pop him on and be with him so he can see it isn't scary, but he will even hang on then ! We tried being harsh and MAKING him sit on the toilet until he went but it got to3 HOURS and 9pm and he was so exhausted he had to go to bed. (and he STILL hung on).
We are now at the point where he stands up straddling the toilet with a step either side of it (facing the wall) with a nappy on, but I can't get him to SIT and do it. His Dad promised him a new motorbike (which is his ultimate dream) in desperation but even that can't push him through this issue he has. He starts school next year.
Any ideas anyone ?

hi my last period was on october 15,I went today for an ultrasound after I had brown discharge(on my underwear and when I wipe).The doctor said that she can see that the uterus has a thick lining which is a good sign but she couldnt see any sac.she told me that fertilization may have occured late and that's why she cant see anything...she said maybe im at week 5 and not 6.I'm very scared (especialy from ectopic pregnancy but i dont really have any pains or cramps)and I wish that you share with me any experience or info u know about this

ive had pain before but wn i move they tend to go but for the last hour and half im getting regular period cramps, but the timing is all off. sometimes there 10 mins other times 7 mins and even been as close as 4 mins then go back to 7 mins.
can the timing be irregular and still be in labour or is this just braxton hicks???

my best friend has pet named her unborn baby 'Chamoula' (long and very funny story I won't go into....) because she doesn't know what she is having.
I also know of others that have nicknamed their babies before naming them........what was yours...???

I can't think of anything for this baby so suggestions would be good.
I'm probably not finding out what the sex is but I want a little nickname rather than always saying "the baby" or "it"

Hi, im currently 38 weeks pregnant and i had a growth scan yesterday. They said the baby weighs about 6.2lbs at the mo but it can be out by 25%. Im due to have a section in 5 days and we are playing guess the birth weight. As the scan can be so far out, it makes it harder to guess but i was wondering if any of you had a growth scan, and how accurate was the weight when baby was born? was it a lot bigger or smaller than the scan suggested? im not at all concerend about the babys size, its just out of interest. thanks x

i really really don't want a c-section. was told yesterday that baby is breech, i know there is plenty of time for him to move yet. what are my chances of the baby turnig around and placenta moving upwards by the time i have my rescan at 34 weeks.?

My OB did a vaginal ultrasound and saw 2 amniotic sacs but only one baby. I'm due to go back in two weeks for another ultrasound, but I'm scared and confused. The baby looked fine in the ultrasound except the ultrasound measured me at 7 weeks and a few days instead of 8 weeks. Does anyone know what kind of complications my OB is thinking about? She didn't share her concerns with me and when she said that the baby might not make I just shut down. Please help.

I watched an Oprah show the other day where she stated that she does not want to do shows about this subject, because it is not a normal way to punish your child. My opinion, there are other ways to disipline children like time outs or taking stuff away from them which they value alot, and it does work, but sometimes children do get very stuborn and I think this would be the last option to spank them. I also think the parent should always be in controle of him self and not let this get out of hand. Three slaps on the bottom is o.k with me, but before this there must be a explanation to the child why he or she is being punished. What do you think, am I being reasnoble or not. And what about a toddler, which does not always understand in what other way can he be punished.
