My husband and I are expecting our second child, a girl. Our son's name is Landon Joel ( Joel is after my husband). We love so many names we can't decide on something for our little girl who is due Dec 1st. Last night we sat down with Landon ( who is 5) and tried to decide on a name. We are between Peyton, Hayden and Hannah. Also, what middle names? I would love input on all 3 names as well as which are your favorites.

Ok... So I asked in my last question if you liked the names Taylor and Jensen... And almost everyone said it was too boyish and if I have a baby girl she needs a girlish name. I do not like too many of the names out there. I like unusual, but NOT crazy spellings. I have a 23 month old little boy named Brody William. I love his name, unusual but stong. I love the names Rory, Taylor and Jensen for girls names but all are boyish. Do you have an suggestions?

Please do not pick Madilyn (my nieces name) or Riley (the name of the baby I miscarried)

Thanks you all.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago how my daughter came home from dads weekend & was telling me in DETAIL how daddy had oral intercourse with his girlfriend -down to the faces she made, and how he moved his head on her body.
She is FOUR YRS OLD. I called CPS & reported. They told me they'd get back w/me. Nothing yet. I called OAG & they told me I did the right thing in reporting it to CPS, but now I have to get an order called "safety plan" in order to keep my daughter from visiting him OR he could take me to jail. CPS hasn't gotten around to my case and OAG says to let her keep going over there. If this was worse (God forbid) & someone was hurting her, I'd STILL have to send her to his house. The system SUCKS!!!
NE ways, my question.... what should I do? Should I continue with this "safety plan" where CPS changes the visitation orders? IF I go forward, CPS would come to my home and interview my daughter, ask her questions about the incedent & I'm afraid of traumatizing her more!

Please tell me if this is wrong.
I am 8 months pregnant, and have made the decision that I do not want my daughter's father in labor and delivery. Actually, I plan on not even telling him when I go into labor.
We broke up about 2 months ago, we've had no communication with one another. His family does not call to check on me or the baby. And he provides absolutely no support.
However, over the weekend, I was admitted for vomiting and dehydration, one of his relatives who works at the hospital, informed them that I was there...he showed up very worried and concerned. Which I knew he was being fake and phony because he's guilty of many things. Shortly after, about 8 of his relatives show up in my room with the same concern, but also with negative vibes. They were already making comments about how the room would be crowded when I go into labor, and he said the nurse would have to bring another bed.
Can I give the nurses station specific instructions on who i want there and do not?

Im due on January 4th. I just had my baby shower and was curious if I should was the babies clothes, or is that not necessary? I bought some Purex Baby Detergent so I could do them today. Is it too early?

If I do the clothes am I supposed to do stuffed animals & blankets/quilts?? How about the crochet clothes & quilts people hand made? Would those get ruined?

Hi,

I'm pregnant and if it is a boy my husband insists we name him his name but the fifth. He is the fourth, his father the third, etc.

I told him I thought that going up to the fifth was a little too much, when does it end? I have only heard of it going up to the 3rd mostly...

I also feel kind of bad that I will have no say in what his name would be.

What do you guys think? Also, does anyone know what this is called so I can search for some articles, I thought it was Sir names but nothing came up...

Thanks!

In the USA, it's perfectly normal, and some people are even obsessed with it, to remove the prepuce (foreskin) in an infant male. It is a cosmetic procedure, all medical associations are in agreement of this. Today, we hear more and more about women getting "designer" vaginas and having their prepuce (clitoral hood) removed fully or partially, leaving the clitoris exposed much like the penis head in the male.

So why don't doctors offer this cosmetic procedure to parents of baby girls just like they do to baby boys?

And please don't try to bring up any "health" reasons on why the male circumcision should be done. All health organizations from the AAP and on agree that the health "benefits" are slight at best, and not enough to recommend the procedure. Also, the removal of the prepuce in girls hasn't been studied at all, so there might be undiscovered "health" benefits.

My 4 year old, on school days takes absolutley ages (about an hour) from the time of being woken up, to get herself washed and dressed for school. This isn't because she stays in bed, or doesn't want to go to school, she just wants to play, dress as a fairy etc. We used to constantly nag her, but this just started the day with arguments, and tension. So now we just leave her to it, and carry on without her. Then, when its breakfast time, we tell her we are about to start, and this normally is the kick she needs, and is done in 5 mins! It drives me mad, anyone out there with any strategies that may help move things along a bit more quickly?

because of health reasons. We just put him in the first grade on Monday. He teared up when I left him, but when I picked him up he was okay and said it was fun. The next day he cried a little when I left him and when I picked him up he was crying saying he didn't want to go back to school because his teacher was mean. He said she told them to put their papers in their box and he put his papers in his folder then went to put it in his box and she said "Not like that! Like this!" and she took the papers out of the folder "fast" (fast is the word he used so to me that is like snatching). When she did this it apparently hurt his feelings. My son has led a pretty sheltered life because of his health problems. How long should it take him to adjust and realize that this is the way the world works? There are things out there he is going to have to get used to and I want him to toughen up and not cry and be scared. He LOVES the kids and has already made a good little friend.

My 5 month old daughter won't sleep through the night. She was sleeping fine around 3 months, then she got a cold around 4 months and was getting up because her nose was stuffy. And ever since, she cries anywhere from twice a night to 10 times a night. I am exhausted. Sometimes I can go in and pat her back until she falls back to sleep...but in a half an hour she might wake up again. Other times, most of the time I have to pick her up to stop her from crying..and then she goes back to sleep. Is this just habit now, because she was getting picked up when she was sick? Or is there something wrong with her? Her napping is fine. My son slept through the night at 8 weeks old and never gave me a problem after. But this is getting old quick. She isn't hungry, when I try to give her a bottle ....she is basically upset because she is tired and wants to go back to sleep, ( or at least that's what it seems like to me). I've let her cry for about 10 minutes, but she just cries harder. help !!

I bled heavily for about 5 minutes, there was a pain that felt identical to period pain. There were no clots in the blood. I'v been to docs and hospital and everything looks ok, I have a scan tomorrow to check on my baby but im going out of my mind! Has anyone had a similar experience or can explain what this is likely to be?
Also how is it possible for the lining of the womb to change but the baby stay in there and be ok?
Thank you in advance x

Ok so this baby we watch shes 4 months old, and she can be sound asleep and then she just wakes up and starts crying , sometimes screams to the top of her lungs. Is there something that can cause that? I've thought about maybe it is nightmares but if its that, that means she would have them all the time. I've never seen a kid to it that much like her. It's funny cause she would go to sleep and be dead asleep and then out of no where she starts screaming/ crying. Any advice?

My son will be two at the end of December.
When we go to playgroups he is the only kid that will just wander off and go hiking halfway across the park, or go gaze at himself in the windows of the activity center. He will not come back when I call him, I have to run and get him. He is fairly social though, he just looses interest in the park equipment after 30 mins. All of the other kids stick close to their Mom's. I feel like the only one who doesn't have control of my kid.

One mother told me that if he didn't think that I was going to go and get him, he wouldn't wander off. So is my solution to this problem really that easy, because I'm pretty sure that he would walk to China if I let him.

So how should I handle a wandering child who will not listen to me? Any advice?? Thanks.
