Djeene (pronounced Jeen but with a harsher and more stressed J because of the D) and that particular spelling. I'm not pregnant or anything, just curious for opinions.

She is turning 16months and gets up at 5am every morning and I am exhausted! The worst it's been was 4am!
She isn't hungry cos when she gets up she is smilling and dancing around, pulling her toys out her toybox and doesn't ask for breakfast until around 8am.
She has one 1-2hour nap through the day and goes down at 7pm.
IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE PUTTING HER TO BED LATER OR REDUCING HER NAP TIME, I HAVE TRIED!
Please help, is she just a morning person or will she grow out of it? She used to sleep 7pm-7am but this 5am nonsense has been going on for months.
I tried letting her cry it out but I live in a flat and the upstairs neighbour made a comment about hearing her cry so early in the morning.

My partner and I cannot agree on any names! The names he has picked I find really common and the names I like, he wont even consider. It's starting to cause arguements. What should we do? Any name suggestions would be appreciated too.

okay now i don't mean a shrugs his shoulders in a oh well way or i don't know way. but only when i say hey look at me and it's not just once he shrugs them like 3,4, or 5 times like it's a nervous tick or something, i'm not concerned about it, infact in a way i think it's hilarious, because he does it every time. and even when i'm trying to be serious i can't help but bust out laughing. the main thing i want to know is, is it normal and if so what quirky things have you seen out of your children?

There is going to be something like 50 people at this party, and I feel he shouldn't go. Am I being old? Please help me because I hate arguing with my kids. :'(

Did you find the transition hard??
I am contemplating taking an extended leave of absence from my workplace (for 2 years) and becoming a full time Stay at home mum. I have 2yo twin boys and am 16 weeks pregnant.
I am having mixed feeling about it. I always enjoy going to work and also enjoy time with my boys. I guess it is my break time.

Anyone had these feeling??
Did anyone regret their decision??
Any help would be good.

It doesnt matter if we wake her up at 7, 6, or 5am, she will not go to bed until midnight or upto 5 hours later! She does not take naps, she isnt hyper active, we lay with her, read her stories, and play what she wants. This has been going on for a year now, I've tried a strict regiment, which leads to her throwing fits and cryin till 2am, tried being compassionate which leads to the same. (I have had severe insomnia since i was 7 or 8, now 27) We have changed her diet, tv/cartoon allowance, and several bedtime proceedures. My wife and are close to our wits end, short of beating her or tying her to the bed we have run out of options!! She is really quite smart for her age( i know every parent thinks so) but for the first 3 years of her life she had no interaction with anyone other than adults and has quite the vocabulary and social skills and attitude of that, and i dont know if that is the cause or if it is because of my chronic insomnia. Any ideas or experience would be help

i dont mean all of them but she is just so messy i was thinking of throwing away all the toys she has not played with in a while, obviously xmas is just aroundthe corner so she will be getting more her room is like a toy shop seriously she has 5 toy baskets full, three shelves of teddys and two boxes under her bed.
I cant cope with the mess, i have nowhere to store toys she isnt using until a later date so i was going to bag the toys up and take them to the charity shop.
if you think this is a good idea how many toys should i leave her with? (she will be 4 in a month)

She orders everyone about, she shouts and cries if you dont do as she says.
She is an only child and dont get me wrong i understsnd she is only what i made her (well me and her dad) but she is just so selfish she expects all of us to do what she wants or she cries really bad (uncontrollable sobbing)
She is also really messy! i wouldnt mind if she just made an effort to help tidy (even picked up one thing)
I have tried leaving her to cry when she is being silly for no reason it doesnt ever stop she can cry for hours until u apologise.
i have tried just ignoring her when she is being bossy but she just gets right in my face til i answer.
Please help i dont want her to be a brat noone likes or wants to play with
