The risks of the abortion pills (there are more than one) are heavy bleeding, infection, heavy cramping, and a slight risk of an incomplete abortion. The risks are easily managed if you go to a reputable provider. If you will be inserting pills, it is extremely important to remember to wash your hands well before you do. The few women who have developed an infection following this method did so because they did not wash their hands before inserting the last pill.

You can read more information about this method here: http://www.pregnancyoptions.info/whichmethod.htm .

Best of luck!

Oh, and some on here will tell you that you will regret your decision. If you are certain that an abortion is right for you then you will not regret the decision. I never have.

Peace,
Jenn

RU-486 really hasn't been out long enough to know what the long term effects are, but I can tell you from personal experience that it is probably less traumatic than a surgical abortion. However I can't really advise either one, I had an abortion, and am still suffering emotionally because of it. Obviously I am not in your situaltion, but I do know that women often make uneducated choices, and are desperate when faced with this decision. There are people out there that can help if you need it, but if you still get the abortion, I will tell you that you need to be 100% positive about your decision so you don't regret it.
If you want more info, or just want to talk, send me an e-mail. I would be more than happy to help in any way that I can!!
PS. I also have experience being a teen mom, and telling parents, I was pregnant with my first son at age 16!
Hang in there and really research all of your options!

Your question is kind of hard to understand, but I think you're mistaken here. You will want to make sure you're not pregnant before you get the shot. If you took the plan b pill two weeks ago, then had more unprotected sex, you should be aware of how harmful that pill is to your body, it's a rough process. You should refrain from having any sex until the next cycle. It's not that hard, just tell the guy that you just had to take a pill that purged his unborn child from your body in an unnatural and hazardous way and that your vagina needs a break :) ,

As with any medical procedure, there are risks. Overall, however, it is extremely safe. All you need to do is keep an eye on your bleeding and not feel shy about calling the doctor if something seems amiss. Give a call to Planned Parenthood, 1-800-230-PLAN - they will be able to give you accurate information about it. Good luck!

Safest thing to do is see a doctor for that kind of info. Get advice on birth control while you are there.

Go to your phone book. Look up the number for planned parenthood in your area. Call them and find out directly from one of their people.

In a “medical” abortion, two chemicals are given. The first cuts off your baby's source of nourishment, causing her to starve to death inside your womb. The second chemical causes hard contractions to push the dead baby out of your body. This takes an average of nine days, bleeding is profuse, and pain is severe. Sometimes, parts of the baby are left inside your womb, where they can rot and cause infection. This is what killed 18-year-old Holly Patterson in California several years ago. At least 12 women have died after taking the abortion pill:

There are other risks as well:

Surgical abortion can also be very dangerous for the mother. In a surgical abortion, the abortionist must first force open your cervix, which is very tightly closed to protect the baby. This can result in tearing and permanent damage. He then inserts a sharp-tipped suction tube into your womb and turns on suction 30 times more powerful than a vacuum cleaner. The suction tears the baby apart and pulls her out of your womb. He then inserts a curette (a loop-shaped steel knife) into your womb to scrape out any remaining parts of the baby and your placenta. Some abortionists use only the curette to cut apart the baby rather than using suction. Abortion is a "blind procedure." The abortionist cannot see what he is doing after he inserts the sharp instruments into your womb, but must go by "feel." As a result, he can puncture your uterus, bowel, or bladder. Here is information on the risks of surgical abortion:

and deaths resulting from so-called "safe and legal" abortion:

Both surgical and chemical abortions can increase your risk of breast cancer. At least 28 studies worldwide clearly demonstrate that women who abort a baby are at a higher risk of breast cancer. One of these studies was led by Dr. Janet Daling, a researcher at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle and a "pro-choice" advocate. She said, "I have three sisters with breast cancer; I resent people messing with scientific data to futher their own agenda, be they pro-choice or pro-life. I would have loved to have found no association between breast cancer and abortion, but our research is rock solid, and our data is accurate. It's not a matter of believing, it's a matter of what is." Here is more information on the abortion/breast cancer link:

Of course, abortion is most dangerous for your baby. Just one week after you miss your period, your son or daughter's heart is already beating. Please take a look at the information below. (Keep in mind that if it has been two weeks since your missed period, you are four weeks past conception and six weeks pregnant. Pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last period.)

For one i am very much against abortion, there are many other options out there then to kill your unborn child you can always carry your baby to term and give it up for adoption there are alot of people that can't have children that would love to give your baby a good home.I have never had a abortion but my best friend had one and she regrets it every day she has 5 kids now but cries everyday for the one she aborted.
