possibly 3 months or so pregnant. Will this cause deformity? Or any other complications?

What everyday English words or objects do you think would make the best baby names? (Don't worry...I wouldn't use these. This is just for fun.)

Examples:
Boys: Train, Wagon, Clock
Girls: Thimble, Seven (recognize the Seinfeld reference?)

Not allowed:
Names from nature (Leaf, Rainbow - hippies already tried this)
Gemstones
Attributes/Abstract nouns (Grace, Destiny, Patience)

I have twin 2yo boys and they are obsessed with Spiderman, Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If I have to watch them 1 more time I swear I will snap the DVD!!!
We recently bought Barnyard and that was a good movie.
Can you recommend any more to watch??

When my kids see something and ask me what it is, I always ask them what they think it is, before I tell them.

Recently, I've had some good laughs because of it.

My kids' preschool/afterschool had a flu vaccination clinic recently, and to make it as positive as possible, they used FluMist (an inhalant) rather than the usual flu shot. The kids would go in, get their temperature taken with an ear thermometer, have the medication sprayed up their noses, and get a sticker and a cookie after it was done. My oldest son asked me what they were doing (after the fact), and I asked him "What do you think they're doing?" He responded that he got a sticker and a cookie for being good while the lady looked at his brain and then washed up his nose.

At our local supermarket, the seafood department has a tank with live lobsters in it. My youngest asked me what they were, I turned the question back to him, and he replied "Big BIG grasshoppers!"

Any similar stories from other moms?

If I use a name like Al the full name is Albert. Dillon - DilBert, Rob - Robert, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

I am 27 weeks pregnant. I dreamt that my mom called me at work and told me that I had the baby. In my dream the technology was so good that nobody had to go to the hospital anymore to have there baby. Well anyways she came and got me and we went to the hospital to see the baby. We also didn't have maternity leave either in my dream which sucked lol. It was a pretty short dream i only slept for about 20 min but it was just the most weirdest dream i've had yet. Anyone have some pretty messed up ones?

my 13 year old daughter has started smoking! i saw her outside last night with an empty pack and i always talk to her about it and she promises not to do it, but i do always see her when i go outside. When i was in my office downnstairs, i think she stole my pack of cigarettes from my purse and my lighter. Whenever i c it missing, i go to te store and buy more. i'm against spanking but i do always spank her but whenever she does it. I started smoking when i was 15 in the girls bathroom with a couple of my friends and had my daughter when i was 16. Now, she's addicted. What should i do?

My son has a friend who likes to snuggle up to me and acts very gay. He likes to rough house with me when my oldest is there. I never am alone with him because he is not my son and there are always people who are quick to yell and accuse.

Well, over the Thanksgiving break he stayed the night several times with my oldest son and all three boys, my son, his friend and my youngest son would all sit next to me on the couch while we were watching movies. It has gotten cold so my son's friend (who is 11 going on 12) snuggled up to me and I put my arm around him like I do my son and my hand was on his thigh.

He is really a sweet kid and I don't know if I am being paranoid or what, was that inappropriate? Did I overstep my boundaries with him?

I don't want to do anything wrong. His father doesn't have much to do with him and his mom is remarried but his step-dad isn't very affectionate with him.

Clarification: The thigh (outer legg, not the inner legg)
FYI - I am bisexual myself.

I am a women. Just wanted to know why a women has the choice of having a baby or killing it but a man has no choice? Why if she choses to keep it he has to pay child support or if she choses to kill it he can do nothing about it. It is just as much his baby as it is hers and he should get just as much choice as her.

I am a mommy of four children--their ages are as follows:
2 years, 4 months & 2 days (Tessa)
3 months and 24 days (Lily)
4 months and 9 days (John)
15 days (Ella)

Tessa (my two year old) has quite a list so I'm pretty set for her. My other children obviously cannot make a list and so I'm pretty stuck on what to get for them. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you!

My gf lives in a pretty safe neighborhood but she doesnt feel safe. After school she is the 1st one home and she always pushes open the door and looks around b4 she goes in. when i asked her she said its always been a fear that someone would be in her house. I thought that was funny and i laughed but i dont think its funny any more. Not too long ago i read about this daycare worker, she went inside the daycare and this guy was in there and he raped her, im pretty sure he killed her too but i cant remember it wasnt even like a huge story anything.

I have thus far avoided answering directly by saying she is sweet (she is) or commenting on her pretty curly hair, but why is my friend pressing the issue? Should I lie and just say she's pretty when she literally looks like a stand-in from the movie Gremlins?

Hey- before you attack me, I've been there. I never tried to force anyone to say my not-so-cute baby was attractive, because I knew he wasn't! I know that her baby is a gift and I love them both to death, but I just wish she would drop the subject!

we were happy with that. I breast fed and had surgery complications, so it really worked out well. We had him sleeping in a toddler bed, but it didn't go well because he's a very active sleeper (like dad). He'd go to sleep and roll over and hit his arm on the side of the bed and hurt himself and want Mommy and Daddy. SO, I got him a full-sized bed. Daddy and I have been lying down with him at night until he goes to sleep. This works well, but he turned 2 last month and I think he should be starting to sleep alone. I've been putting him to bed alone on the nights when dad is not here (Dad's the enabler). But he cries on and off for about 30 mintues. It isn't an all-out cry or a constant cry, but it is killing me inside. He basically goes Wahh! Wahh! for about 10 seconds then stops. I haven't been going in unless he cries for a few minutes non-stop. I really don't believe in the whole cry-it-out method, letting them go on and on. I worry about abandonment issues. What do you think?
