my son will be two years old next month and he has become quite the escape artist! Lately, he has been climbing out of his crib, often in the early morning (3am) and wandering around the house. short of locking him in his room, how can i keep him in the bed???

My friend's daughter is 6 almost 7 and wets the bed at night almost every night. Her doctor just blows her off & says to not worry.

What can her Mother do to help her child? The child hates it & wants to stop.

Well my daughter Georgia was born by c-sec on Tuesday and we came home from hospital yesterday evening.
Now we are all settled (for the momemt lol) I have decided I need something to eat other than the sandwiches I'd been living off in hospital since Monday...and I am now sitting down to pate on toast...mmmmm I haven't been able to eat it for 9 months and it is like nectar on my tongue lol.....what did you soo enjoy to eat after your baby was born that you couldn't eat during pregnancy???

I am the mother of four children - ages 10, 8, 4 and 10 months. The 8 & 4 year old WON'T SLEEP. I used to put them to bed at 9:00-9:30 and they would sleep until 8:00-8:30. About a month ago they both started getting up around 5:00am and not going back to sleep. I have tried everything - I have tried making them take naps during the day; I have tried putting them to bed extra early so when they get up at 5:00am they have had enough sleep (but they don't fall asleep at night until 9:30-10:00 anyway); I have tried letting them stay up extra late so they will be tired enough to stay asleep in the morning (but they rise at 5:00am anyway); I have even tried boring them to sleep by making them stay in thier beds for the better part of the day with no TV or toys (but they lay there awake). I really am out of ideas for a solution to making sure these kids get enough sleep - 7 to 8 hours is not enough. My 8yr old was walking around yesterday with red, puffy, bloodshot eyes- HELP US!!!!!

My 17 month old daughter is fascinated with the computer and loves using the keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately she tends to mess up all the settings when she does. I was thinking of getting her some kind of console you can plug in to the TV for xmas. I wanted something with a proper keyboard and mouse. Does anybody have any recommendations?

This may be a really silly question but I'm really having issues with my son. [He'll be two in February.] He's a loud boy. He talks very loud and when he's happy everyone knows. Now, it wouldn't be an issue if we never went anywhere but we do. For example, in the grocery store when he's just talking to me his voice level is so loud we get looks but he's not being bad--he's just talking. Last night we were at Olive Garden and again he was talking loudly. He's not being bad and I honestly don't think he realizes how loud he's talking but it's driving me crazy! LOL!

So, how do I teach him to speak in a normal voice? We play the 'shhh...' game all the time where we all sit around the table whispering but it only lasts so long. So, are there any solutions or is my son bound to be loud for a while yet? I feel awful when I punish him because he isn’t being bad per-say he’s just talking and doesn't realize that he's being loud. However, at this point I'm willing to try anything.

Thanks!!

I've found that ever since I became a mother (2 years ago) that other moms are more critical than helpful. I've been told over and over again what I should or shouldn't do with my son, even when I don't ask for advice (I'm not talking about on Yahoo Answers but in real life). And, they aren't particularly nice about it (they can be rude and condescending and again, when I haven't even asked for advice). And, it's forced me to turn away from these moms altogether. I'm very courtesy to others...never give unsolicited advice b/c I hate it myself. Just curious if others have experience this or not.
