My friend's daughter is 6 almost 7 and wets the bed at night almost every night. Her doctor just blows her off & says to not worry.

What can her Mother do to help her child? The child hates it & wants to stop.

Some children do this until about age 12. Studies show this "skill" may be genetic so her mother or father may have wet the bed until an older age. If her mother is still concerned, she should get a 2nd opinion. However, pediatricians frequently see this problem and are usually skilled in giving help where help is POSSIBLE. Drugs can be given for this issue in certain situations, but there are side effects and the doc may not prescribe them because of other issues the girl may have.
I wet the bed until I was about 4. I was found to have short tubes draining my kidneys. In this case, nothing could be done, except surgery and no one in their right mind would do surgery on a child for something that will resolve in a few years.
If she stays at your house, just try to be supportive (sounds like you are).
Good luck and best wishes.

She needs to see another pediatrician as hers is ignoring a parental concern. She can also cut off liquids 2 hours before bed, that will help some. Honestly unless she is still wetting the bed after age 12 it is considered normal.

i suggest going to another doctor, and not taking no for an answer the problem could be medical or psychological so it's best to be thoroughly checked by a real doctor.

your friend could sit down with her daughter and ask her if she's having any problems with school bullying can be an issue here. if there are any issues with school your friend can speak to her daughter's teacher to get any problems sorted but she must remember to be persistent and consistent with the school.

I had to physically wake my daughter up at night, take her to the bathroom, and let her do her thing there. She said she was dreaming about going potty, and REALLY thought that she was in the bathroom when she was really in her bed. After about 5 months, she started waking up and going by herself. To stop her from having to go at night, I didn't let her drink anything 2 hours before bedtime, and I ALWAYS made her go before going to bed. (If she doesn't want to go, turn on the bathroom faucet and wait.)

When my kids turned 2, I see to it that that they don't wear diapers anymore. So I wake up every 4 hours to help them relieve. It was inconvenient to both parties but After 2 weeks, they don't wet their bed anymore. And they always get up if they feel like urinating...

tell her to stop drinking lots of water. Only minimal amounts. Also another possibility is that nightmares is the problem.

Go to another doctor! She probably has a small bladder for her size.
