Pregnancy & Parenting - 24 November 2007

We are going out of town to see relatives, and we will be gone for a week. Right now, my husband and i are in the process of getting our twins to sleep in a real bed, but they still get out of the bed at night and i dont want to deal with this while we are there. Is it ok for them to sleep in playpens just for that week??? If not do u have any suggestions of what i could do??? Thank You

I noticed that there is a lot of tension here. Why is that? There seems to be very strong opionons about adopting, being adopted, losing a child to adoption.
I realize there are feelings involved, but personal experiences are nothing to attack, nor are they a reason to attack.

Anyone have a response?


Oh and I actually wanted some advice. We are foster parents, but we do not currently have a child placed with us. We were invited to attend a Holiday party for Foster families and foster children. Should we attend, even though we do not have a placement?

10 days ago, I had an emergancy c-section and delivered my little man at 34.4 weeks. He had one foot that is clubbed. He is still in the hospital by hopefully can come home early next week and his doctor at the hospital is going to set him up an appointment to see the pediatric orthopedist about his foot.

Does anyone have any experince with this. I have looked up lots of info on the web. I am just wondering how long the treatment takes? They said his will more than likely have the cast done?

Please anyone help, I am really freaking out, I just hope that he will be normal and I know lots of famaus athletes have had it and are fine, I an just really worried about my little man!

ok hi everyone! i'm a little worried as i'm pregnant and in the month it happened, i changed partners, i last slept with my ex boyfriend on the 20th july and then i got (slept) with my current boyfriend on the 26th july, i'm not sure but i think my last period was 12th july-so that would make ovulation around 26th? (i told the doctor i didn't know when it was as i wasn't 100% sure so she arranged a dating scan and that says i'm due on the 19th april) is there any chance that the baby could be my ex's? i know you might say i should've been more careful and you'd be right but its happened now and i'm only human, i'm not sleeping around i've just ended 1 and started another relationship! all the dates seem to tie in with it been my current boyfriends i think.....

I tested on 3 different days and got all positives i have an appointment with the doctors this week coming up. Well I have no symptoms nothing at all is hard for me to believe that i be be pregnant especially with no type of symptoms.

I just want your opinions. I know for a fact I don't believe in it. If you are stupid enough to get unwanted pregnancy in the first place, you should deal with the consequences, i say!

If someone becomes pregnant and they don't want the baby, give it away when it's born. That's still horrible but it's better than the baby not being born at all.

What do you think?

I went to the doctors yesterday to speak to her about changing my pill as it was causing serious side effects, i stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and i have had a drunken couple of nights of unprotected sex with my boyfriend but he didnt c*um inside me. I have been getting pains in my stomach, like when i move or if i strech it feels as if im pulling muscles all the time in my stomach and i just wondered if it could be sign im pregnant? I dont know when im due to come onto my period as i used to just leave it up to the pill and i new when i stopped it when i was finished the pack i would be due on anytime soon. Im going back to the nurse to have a test but my mind is constantly thinking about it and i just need some answers, the only other symptom i have experienced is needing to pee alot more often and hardness to my stomach, wether this is just me or not i have no idea, buts its defiantly changed.

that if you continue testing on different days that the higher the HCG level is and you take a HPT the control line will get lighter while the test line is getting darker.

Has anyone else out there seen this crap? I saw some woman at the mall with a two-year old (I'm guessing), and had a little harness with a leash attached, like her kid was a dog! Holy crap! I think if someone has THAT big of a problem keeping their kid under control, either put them in a stroller or leave them at home. That leash demeans everyone involved.
Your thoughts?
I would especially love to hear from these wonderful parents that practice this form of parenting. Such skill!

My sister is 13.
She's not allowed on the internet.
She can't have a cell phone.
She can't have an iPod.
She can't sit up front in the car.
She can only go to parties that end before 7:30 PM.
Her bed time is 8 PM.
She can only watch PG rated movies.
Can't wear tanks, short skirts, short shorts, heels, or make up.
I don't know why she'd want to, though.

Should I talk to my mom about how she's growing up?
I mean, my sister comes to me at the end of the day saying that her life is horrible.

It can be quite depressing and just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? I wouldn't trade being a stay at home mom for anything but being tight on money stinks, especially around xmas. Hubby and I aren't getting each other anything. Just a few things for our son. My husband is a teacher so living on one teacher's salary is tough.

Ok, so i'm dating a senior and i'm a freshmen. Me and him hang out pretty much everyday. We do crazy stuff somtimes and make video of it and put it on youtube(just doing random things around town with some other of his friends which are also mine). Me and him like to go see movies together and go to Red Lobster. He is a very caring person.
