I just want your opinions. I know for a fact I don't believe in it. If you are stupid enough to get unwanted pregnancy in the first place, you should deal with the consequences, i say!
If someone becomes pregnant and they don't want the baby, give it away when it's born. That's still horrible but it's better than the baby not being born at all.
What do you think?

My brother was a 'unplanned baby' but my Mum still brought him up, she would never have aborted him. I don't think i'll ever abort a child of my own, even if its unplanned

I dont belive in it but its not the publics opinion to decide on someones very personal life. These kinds of decisions have long term effects on the individual who commits them, but its their body not ours.

Every abortion kills a living human being. This is not an opinion, but a simple biological fact. By the time most women know they are pregnant (just 3 weeks after conception), their baby's heart is already beating. By just 6 weeks after conception, the baby has tiny fingers and recordable brain waves. At 8 weeks, the child is fully-formed, with all her organs functioning. She can suck her thumb, and if her palm is pricked, she will open her mouth and pull her hand away. The average age of an aborted baby in America is 10 weeks.
Every abortion involves TWO bodies, the baby’s and the mother’s. The baby has separate DNA, separate movements, and separate organs. He may even be a different sex and have a different blood type. Yes, babies in the womb are dependent on their mothers, just like babies outside the womb. Even a newborn will quickly die if left alone. That doesn’t mean anyone has the right to kill her.

Killing an innocent human being is never justified, even in the case of rape. Would we kill a one-year-old because her father was a rapist? If not, why is the child in the womb fair game? Is she less worthy of life than the rest of us because of the circumstances of her conception? Should children be punished with violent death for the crime of their fathers? Regardless of a woman's situation, her baby is innocent and does not deserve to die.
There are over a million couples waiting to adopt babies in America alone. There is no such thing as an unwanted infant here. Adoption is a unselfish, noble choice for a woman who is unable or unwilling to raise her child.

Well it's not as black and white as you put it. I'm 20 years old, I'm not physically able to have this child and yet I am pregnant. I had to do some serious thinking if I want to be in a bed for the next 8 months. I still haven't decided yet. I am married, I was birth control and yet I became pregnant. It was unplanned but not unwanted. I think abortion should be an option because too many orphans out there are not getting to families like we are led to believe. I could never give up my child that I gave birth to. It is not an option. Abortion is a option in my opinion. I don't think the government should have a say in it at all.

I used to be pro-abortion til recently. You cannot say abortion is right or wrong, morally it is not. Im diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder(mixed episodes)/odd, And have been since i was 6. I take medicines depending on my moods and when i feel like i need them not the way im suppose too. Its just part of my diesese. When i got pregnant i was 20 i was at a low ....stage drinking, snorting whatever, and living a poor lifestyle for the moment for no reason.I come from a great home and we have money. At first i was sad then happy, after 2 weeks i was feeling depresed and wanted to kill myself because the hormones going through my body were making me more depressed.I couldnt do it so i had an abortion.i felt no regret afterwards. Now in 22 about to be 23 and theres not a day i dont feel like a terrible person for what i did and how i believe god will never forgive me.I am now on medicine(for good)married and stable and trying for a family, the only problem is that because of the abortion its caused problems with us being able to have a baby all because i got the abortion.I am considered disabled by the government s.s.i(mentally).You cannot speak for people with illnesses because sometimes they cant even help it nor take care of themselves. I think abortion is wrong and you will be judged in the end of time but unless your that person you may not know what their going through mentaly or emotionaly .When people have abortions eventually down the road they regret it and sometimes, even have problems EVER conceiving again so yes they do suffer and in reality its something they have to live with for the rest of their lifes.im not saying im pro-abortion i just believe its a persons choice not others to down them for there desicion, because eventualy they will pay for the choice they made.

I think abortion is the easy way out. I am pregnant and can't even imagine getting an abortion. If the person is willing to have sex with out any protection then they should pay the price.. I am unless the mother will die if she has the baby that case it is different. I think abortion is the cruelest thing in the whole world...I mean how can someone take the life of a baby a sweet little thing that is growing in you... it's so small and Innocent

Child abortion? I believe in safe, legal abortions for fetuses if a woman so chooses. To want to take away a woman's right to choose is just as bad as rape. Anti-choice reduces a woman to nothing more than a sub-human baby-making machine.

This board is for pregnancy and parenting. Not politics. When asking a question on abortion, you are prompted to post in politics. Stop trying to stir things up with your self righteous opinions. This is for honest questions from mothers who didn't have an abortion and are looking for help.

I don't believe in abortion unless the mom's life is in danger or if the baby is going to die anyway.
Edit:Garrison, we are all a clump of cells, all living things have cells, we're just shaped differently.

Abortion is murder as the Bible says Life starts as soon as the woman gets pregnant. If a woman is raped..well she should have the baby, give it up for adoption..why kill a little harmless baby who did nothing..Everyone deserves a chance at LIFE!!!
