I have a 3 month old to take care of too and a job. I need tips or tricks that will keep my 2 year old from destroying the house or something that will keep him occupied, but he seems interested in everything, but his toys. I understand that he's curious and he will explore, but there needs to be a limit and I need help with enforcing that.

I am a work-at-home mom who will be going back to work shortly. Our new nanny will be starting.

I would really like us to have a good working relationship and be on the best terms. For her, I would like this to be a very positive work experience and as she has been looking for a long term position, that she will stay with us for many years to come.

I have had some pretty miserable bosses before so I understand that her happiness or lack of it at work largely will be in my hands.

Parents - Any tips for me?

Nannies - Any particular reasons why you would choose to leave a job? Or what makes your job especially difficult? How could the parents help to make life easier?

But she constantly demands attention and i cannot cope with it any longer. All day she will just sit there moaning at me and i make suggestions to do something together she replies : i dont want to, if i ask her to stop anything its "Why"? arrggghhh i dont know what to do to, nothing makes this child happy. She gets bored too easy!

I have been wondering whether parents really do love their children equally or if they secretly have favorites. And if you do have a favorite, what is the reason for it?

I am 14 and my mother is 42. Why can my mother walk around bra-less in the house but i cant? She walks around bra-less in front of dad and brother (15) and she is 38 C!
I am 'barely-there' (32 A) and if I go braless even for 1 day, she screams her head off.

Even at the beach, she wears the tiny string bikinis and thongs and I have to wear the granny bikinis. I want sexy stuff too! Help!!!!!!

I am due to go away this weekend, it's a 320 mile round trip (I would be driving). I will be 37 weeks pregnant. The books I have read say that most babies arrive between 37 - 42 weeks.

I want the baby in my local hospital and if I went into labour, I doubt I'd be capable of driving the 2.5 hour journey home. My husband has yet to pass his driving test, therefore he isn't allowed to drive on the motorways necessary to get home.

Is it safe to assume the baby will not arrive and go ahead with my plans. Or is it wise not to go?

Okay I had my beautiful baby girl on Monday, 11/19/2007. and starting yesterday, or the day before, I feel like everything is going wrong. I can't seem to quit crying! I don't leave my bedroom. I do take care of my baby, as I do love her, and she means the world to me, but I feel like I have fallen into quicksand and I can't get out!!! Will This feeling go away, or do I need to mention this to my doctor?

FYI: I live by myself with no family near by, and I am a single mom! (Dad is not in the picture at all, I am 22 yrs old!)

Please help me... I am so confused!!!

ok......i've only been married for 6 months and just started ttc #1 (not that she knows).... but mother in law is always making comments on how it would be her bad luck if i had a boy instead of a girl! it's because she only had boys and longed for a girl....but her comments really offend me because if i am able to have a healthy baby, regardless of sex, then I'll be so happy- she said that when she found out my husband was a boy she was heartbroken! It has not been a single comment- but many, she even said it once around my parents (they think she is an idiot)- how can i deal with these comments without getting hurt every time? Please help!
My husband has never been close to her and thinks she's insensitive too- but it doesn't really effect him much so he won't say anything..........

i have irregular periods say i have a gap of ard 40 to 45 days between my periods and at times 28..... it keeps on varying between the two.....

now the problem is that the last time my periods started was OCT 4th 2007 and it is the 1st time it took so long.... i am not pregnant because i had done home pregnancy test twice and it showed negative....... yes i have gained weight after my last periods for which i have now started o go for a walk every day for an hour.....

many people are trying to scare me saying that i have some serious problem and have to consult a doctor immediately but i and my husband feel it is because of my weight but when others try to scare me... frankly i break down and cry...... please tell me is something wrong with me? will i have difficulty to conceive?

i dont have any other problems regarding it ... if it is for the pain part... i have pain on the first day of my mensus then things are as usual.....

personally....I never do. To quote someone else I agree completely with on these Q and A's:

Agree. Don't get me wrong, children need discipline. But striking them is completely unnecessary. There are alternate methods, and the example you set is more important than any corrective action you take. What I mean is, you may have a child that needs to be smacked, but the reason they'll only respond to that is your behavior, as a parent. Moreover, striking a child as a form of discipline encourages the notion that physical violence is acceptable, as a solution to conflict.

Is it the day u started your last period or the last day of your last period? If it is the first day then im 9 and a half weeks. That would be funny considering i know i had unprotected sex 2 weeks after that lol.

this is my first pregnancy. i'm at the end of week 14. i had ultrasound last Friday and the baby was fine. i've been blessed by an easy pregnancy with no sickness (to be honest i had some vomitting for two weeks) or spotting. anyways, i had sex with my husband two days ago and it was kinda hardcore (he was on the top) so my body was moving with him so hard and fast....you know!!
could that harm the baby as i had little cramps afterwards for 2 hours (the same cramps i have sometimes due to uturs expanding...i guess).
now eveything is back to normal but i have the idea that my baby died that can't leave my mind. do you think hardcore with movement(doesn't involve hitting my belly) could make the baby move and etc.......?
plus my husband cums inside me? is that no good for the baby and the prgnancy in general?
please don't tell me i should go to doctor but tell me if the hardcore isn't good for the baby or not
