Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 November 2007

We are naming our baby girl Makayla, with that exact spelling. I really wanted to use my mom and my mother in laws first names and combine then for a middle name. There names are Jo-Ann and Beth (real name Mary Elizabeth). I was thinking something like Jo-Beth, etc. It may not sound the prettiest or make alot of sense but the meaning is special to us. Our last name is Ford. Suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Ok, I am 15 years old, I'll be 16 in January. Ive been with my girlfriend since i was 14, and we've been having sex recently. The only thing is, and i admit, we've been really really stupid and sometimes not used what we should have used. She told me last week she thought she was pregnant. It was the scariest moment of my life, and I've told no one, until now. We did a proper test and it confirmed it. Right now I'm just scared, and I really don't know what to do. I havnt spoken to my girlfriend since we found out for sure. And I dont know how to tell my mom. I know im gona get a lot of lectures and i deserve it, but i just need some reassurance and to know whats right...im really panicking about it.

its been two weeks since i did something....not sex, but close to it. i have never been thinking about it at all, but like two days after i did that thing i shouldnt have been doing, i got this pain in my stomach...and now my stomach feels unusually heavy and weird. i feel bloated and i have this awkward bubbly feeling in my stomach. i thot it was gas (LOL) but trust me it's not...my period is not for 2-3 more weeks.
im scared cuz im 16 and i heard that it's easy to get pregnant when ur younger and more fertile.

if i was pregnant, my boyfriend would think that i cheated on him cuz we never had sex, but some of his precum may have entered me by accident why we did some things...im kinda scared...really scared. but it's not in the mind cuz i havent thot about it until now.

I am asking on advice about names for a baby girl. Based on our own opinions and your opinions, we have narrowed it down to two names: Carmen and Ariel. These are the "traditional" ways of spelling the names. However I prefer Carmyn and my husband prefers Karmen. Also I like Arielle and my husband likes Ariel, could you please say which ones you like better?

I am here looking for middle names for both names. Could you please be honest and tell me which ones work for you the best and which ones you hate. If you'd like, can you explain too? Surname is Williams.

My son is six and a half years old. Last year in January he was diagnosed with ADHD. I was not a parent that took this lightly and just put him on medication. I went into his classroom and spent countless hours observing his behavior often without him knowing I was there. After seeing for myself for several weeks, I decided to try the medication. He began with Concerta which shortly after was changed to Adderall. He did not take his medication during the summer, however since the school year began he dosage has been increased once. I am reluctant to increase it again, which is what his teacher is suggesting. I can not keep increasing his dosage without serious concern. If the meds are not working, when are we supposed to stop and re-evaluate the situation.I need someone with some form of experience in this. Please from one concerned parent to another.

Im Irish he's moroccan...what do u think our child (a girl) will look like? Because of the current situation in America do u think she will suffer prejudice (people can be very prejudiced)? I live in a small area and the closest moms group is 50 miles away. I asked my pastor if he knew of any in this area and he said no, but then suggested starting one through our church. I really would like to, but how do I go about it? What kind of activities, how often, and what time of week? It will be through my church, no drinking even on mom's outtings. I want to do something that get's moms and kids involved, but also gives each mom and child time apart. For instance, part of the meeting be activities with mom's and children, the other part have the kids go to the nursery with a nursery worker and the moms talk and have a Bible study. Any positive input would be greatly appreciated. Just tell me what your mom's group does, or what you'd like to do if you were in a mom's group. I'd also like to plan a once a month mom's night out.

On thursday i lost my little baby..12 weeks i started to bleed and i had scan and baby was ok, very active. The bleeding started to stop & at 14 weeks i had another bleed, this time with big clots.. Went to hospital, kept me in and scan nxt day, Here they found a Subcronic Haematoma which is a blood clot. It was behind the placenta and they said it would cause a miscarriage if it gets bigger. I was scared. since then, i've been bleeding on and off and baby seems to be fine untill thrusday morning at 5 when i got these absolute pains and they were so bad that i couldn't walk, i went to A&E and i was on the bed and a massive clot come out, i was scared and begged the nurse not to leave me.. 2 minutes after that, the pain got even worse, i knew this time it wasn't a clot,,, it was the baby, the most sad & heart-breaking thing was that it give a little cry when it come out and i just broke in two. I need 2 know what the chances are of this happenin again and when its ok to try again....

My sister and I have an ongoing argument about which is easier to raise. I say girls she says boys. I say girls because they are more emotional and less destructive. Girls cry boys scream. All in the parenting too I know. Also in my experience girls do less damage to your home. She can't give any good reasons other then she has 2 boys and 1 girl and her daughter is a primadona. IMO I would rather my daughter if it ever happened which I hope not to come home and say mom I am pregnant then for a son to come home and say mom they are both pregnant.
So, which do you think is easier to raise and why? I am hoping you good people can settle the score for my sis and me!! TY in advance.

Last week on Monday night i noticed a tiny bit of blood on the paper after i peed. It was very small, about half the size of a pin head. I assumed i had a UTI and spent the next 2 days resting and drinking only water & cranberry juice. Then i didnt seem to have anymore blood. Well, last night, i went to the bathroom, and when i wiped i again saw a tiny drop of blood on the paper. Nothing is in my panties, and it only comes after i pee. Im not in any pain, it doenst hurt to pee. Now last night i did have sex with my fiance and about two hours later is when i noticed the drop of blood after i wiped. Anyone had this before? Im really scared something is seriously wrong.


My next doctors app is Tuesday @ 2*30, so im going to talk to him about it then, i just need someone to ease my mind until then....

Okay, I am getting all that rainforest fisher price stuff. Well, they have a swing for a little over a $100 and a bouncer seat for $50. My daughter will be 1 yr old on Dec. 4th. I have been slowly giving her milk and she has been doing great with it. The day of her 1st bday and I totally getting rid of the formula. Do I also stop with the cereal too? She doesn't have the cereal too much, just normally at night and during her nap. Anyhow, I want to break her from the bottle as soon as possible too so should I take her formula, cereal and bottle away from her completely when she turns 1? She also has to have a binkie at night and I want to take that too, but not sure if I should do all of this at one time.

When I first got pregnant, I conceived twins and miscarried all of them and then the second time, I conceived triplets and miscarried all of them. I just miscarried twins at 6 weeks. I've just had my third miscarriage. The first pregnancy, I miscarried at 2 weeks. The second pregnancy, I miscarried at 14 weeks and the last miscarriage I miscarried at 6 weeks. I recently got food poisoning. Did that cause my third miscarriage? Is this recurrent miscarriage? If this is my third miscarriage, when should I get pregnant again?
