My sister and the girls are on the way over and they sent this picture of his outfit
http://www.balletcostume.com/pr13co.html
I begged him not to bet but he would not listen. He only has to take a ballet lesson for an hour but I don't know what I should do.
Do I say No or sit back and watch the ballet lesson

ahhhh thats why he wore it (just read your last question) well he was old enough to make the bet so he has to go ahead with it. Bet he won't wager that again.

Sadly he is 11 and needs to learn to suffer the consequences fo his actions. He made a bet and now has to pay up. Take this as an opportunity to teach him how to follow through with what he says he will do and to teach him not to make stupid bets.

If you put a stop to it, you'll only set him up to expect you to bail him out every time he does something stupid. I would go a step further and make sure he earns the money for his little outfit on his own. Mowing yards for neighbors, or whatever he can. It may be harsh, but he has to learn.

A man is only as good as his word. This is certainly a time in your son's life when he should be learning that valuable moral. Besides, it's all in good fun. What do you care? He made the bet. Not allowing him to do it would be teaching him so many wrong things that it's not worth it. It's not like he's going to turn out gay because he wore a tutu. It's one hour in a lifetime.

I have to say sit back and watch. This will teach him to honor his bets and also teach him not to bet. This would be a lesson for him to learn by.

Tell him it is going to be fun and have a good time. Don't make a big deal of it. Tell him it is all in good fun and it is not a bad thing. Tell him he may be the only boy there and none of his friends will see him. Tell him the girls will think it is cute and will like having him in the class. Have lots of laughs with him and not at him. Good luck.

If the ballet lesson is in your house, then I see no real harm in it. If anything it will teach him a lesson.

In 10 years, they will look back and laugh at it.

Tough onme, but Id say sit back and watch. Perhaps this is a good lesson to NEVER make a bet you are not prepared to lose.

Definately let him do it! I think its great; not only will it create a funny memory, but everyone will have a laugh. And anyways, it shows character if he is so obstinate on doing it--encourage him to keep his end of the bargain. Encourage him to laugh about it and have fun!

He shouldn't have bet on something that he wasn't prepared to do.

I would suggest videotaping him to make him learn not to bet anything.
