If you had a period it is unlikely you are pregnant. Go to the doctor for a blood test to be sure. Sore breasts are also a symptom of hormone fluctuations. See the doctor.

You probably have to wait longer to know for sure, especially since you didn't skip your period just a week ago. I've gotten nauseous every now and then and had cramps while on birth control without getting pregnant (*knock on wood*), so check on it again in a couple of weeks. I know it doesn't help your anxiety about it, but that's pretty much all you can do.

Start taking your pill at the same time every day though. It will alleviate a lot of this stress. Personally, I'm terrible at remembering, so I set my cell phone alarm to go off every day at 10pm. Set your's at a time that's likely to be least intrusive to your life. I chose 10pm because I'm home by then most of the time, but not quite ready for bed yet. And always keep them in spot that you always have with you, ie a purse.

Good luck!

Birth control pills cause extreme nausea and even vomiting in some women; it did for me. People at work even thought maybe I was pregnant bc I kept vomiting and getting sick. And I had to tell them no it's actually the birth control pills. Also birth control pills cause breast tenderness and soreness, and if you skip pills, breakthrough bleeding---bleeding between periods---can occur and that maybe the reason for the cramping. The reason why birth control pills make you have nausea and breast soreness is bc of the hormones and they make your body think you are pregnant so they produce the same symptoms as early pregnancy. Your missing doses could also increase your chances for having these bad side effects bc your body is constantly trying to adjust to the pills and hormones and you keep throwing your body's hormones off by skipping doses; that is why I think I got so sick on them bc I kept accidentally skipping. Also if you just started the birth control pills you will have these side affects; not all women do but some do like you and I. It will take awhile for your body to adjust---sometimes up to 3 months, and the more irregular you are taking them, the longer it will take for your body to adjust to these side effects. The nausea and soreness of breasts you are having is most likely from the pill and not from pregnancy, because even if you are actually pregnant, and the test said no, it's probably very early in the pregnancy and morning sickness and other signs of pregnancy do not occur until at least the fifth week of pregnancy, typically occuring around the eighth week.
HOWEVER, keep in mind that by taking pills at different times you definitely INCREASING your chances of getting pregnant, bc the pill has to be taken at the same time everyday or at least everyday, and by skipping times or days you leave a window open for you to get pregnant. It does happen; I have a friend who got pregnant on boirth control pills because she missed ONE day, yes ONE day. However, I also skipped one day and the next week or here and there one day, and I didn't get pregnant. But just try to take them at the same time every day from now on so they are effective, and if the nausea is too much for you maybe talk to your doctor about another brand of birth control pills or even another method. A really good and safe method without side effects is depo-provera or "the shot".

As long as you are taking it within a 12 hour window you are fine. The main reason they say to take it at the same time is so you get into a routine so you don't forget it altogether.
