Keep a few things that you love to show your baby when she/he is older and give the rest to charity or to a friend with a younger baby! Unless you're planning on having more, in which case you'll want to store them safely.

Give them to someone/ place who can benefit from them. Baby clothes especially is always needed. I do that with almost everything I buy and dont have the need for. It's also amazing when you can see the look on that persons face when you have given them something of little value to you but may be extreme gold to them. Its aways good to give back because you never know who may need and can use them more. Check in your local phone book or google some local agencies around your area who can accept these. I'm sure you'll find the right place for them and anything else you may have to donate in the future!

I would use any clothing that is stained (and thus not suitable to hand down or giveaway etc) and cut it up for rags. Rags are great to use to clean up various things around the home.
Any clothing that is clean enough, you can either find a good will store and donate it (tax deductible) or fine a consignment shop where your clothes can be sold.
Another option is to think of people you know who are expecting, and give them any cute clothes you have. People really do appreciate hand me downs of baby clothes.

Save the most precious items so you can always have them and show them to the child later on.
Either give the clothes to a charity shop, or if you have the time and paitence, sell the items on ebay. Sell bulk loads of it and you will get more money at the end of each auction. Obviously don't sell stained clothes or anything like that.

Keep them in storage, if you plan to have another baby. Who knows, you might get into a tight spot and need those extra clothes for another little one.
If you don't want to do that, donate them to your local good-will. They're always looking for donations. You could also consider looking into other charities, if you're not into good-will donating. There are a lot of charities out there in the world in need of such things.
Lastly, I'd recommenced keeping a few of your favorite clothes. Not only for memories for yourself, but also to show your child. My mom kept quite a few of my dresses and other clothes, and I always loved looking at them.
Good luck! :)

My sister is about 3 1/2 months pregnant, so I am keeping most of it untill we know the sex of her baby...
I kept a few things, wich I want to show my daughter when she grows up, but the rest I am giving to friends and family...
If my sister is expecting a boy, we will only keep the neutral and blue clothes for her and give the rest to a friend of ours who runs a creche, to give out to needy families...

if they are in great condition, then give back...that's the best thing to do...or hand them down to someone you know. I get money for my babies clothing at once upon a child....a local buy back store for gently used clothes toys and crib or plypens...n e way i think it's best to give back. i am a name brand freak but i also shop at those stores too. my baby got barely worn jordans and airforces for 6.50 a piece and a 2piece rocawear out fit for 10.00, so even if u sale them someone else who may not be able to affor4d it will!!

Throw out stuff that is stained beyond being clean. If you are planning on having more children, store it away for later, if not give it to Goodwill or have a garage sale!
