Well my daughter Georgia was born by c-sec on Tuesday and we came home from hospital yesterday evening.
Now we are all settled (for the momemt lol) I have decided I need something to eat other than the sandwiches I'd been living off in hospital since Monday...and I am now sitting down to pate on toast...mmmmm I haven't been able to eat it for 9 months and it is like nectar on my tongue lol.....what did you soo enjoy to eat after your baby was born that you couldn't eat during pregnancy???

Well, this isn't exactly restricted food during pregnancy, but I avoided it because I had gained so much weight--STEAK! After my first (I also had a C-section), I craved steak SO badly. This was at the hospital too! After my second, I was prepared. I demanded that I have a steak once we got home. Well, friends delivered a huge prime rib! Ahhh....
With my second, I didn't worry so much about soft cheeses. I had mozzorrela cheese, and even smoked salmon! That is something that I really craved too!
Enjoy your new baby and your food!

Coffee. I stopped drinking it the last few months of pregnancy because of high blood pressure and I am still careful. But I can drink some now and I totally enjoy it.

I was so hungry all the time after my babies where born I can't remember. My DH was cooking the food and I am almost certain he did not cook what I craved lol. I had lots of heartburn wile pg so anything I ate or drunk made me miserable.

Congratulation to your little girl.

Im just a kid but my step sister is having twins and all. But she already has 3 boys. She is getting a mini van. But sadly she might lose one of the babies. Anyway, during her pregnancy with my nephew ( 2nd oldest ) Aleck, she craved lots of dairy products and cool whip!

A coolata and a bagel with cream cheese! I was on a liquid diet for a week before I went in for my c-section. My gallbladder was bad from 18 weeks of pregnancy- I couldn't eat any fat- oil- nadda. It was awful to have cravings but I couldnt eat anything good! I made up for it...

Congrats on the birth of your little one!

I'm really confused by your question. When I was pregnant both times, the only change to my diet was to eliminate caffiene, and increased my food intake. Sometimes I'd avoid spicy food as it gave me heartburn when I was pregnant. You haven't been able to eat *toast* the entire time you were pregnant? Why not?

The only thing I craved immediately after the birth was a nice cold Coca Cola. Ate very healthy thru both pregnancies.

first of all congratulations on the birth of your precious baby, i had a problem with a lot of foods during pregnancy, if they were not making me sick it was heart burn, i could not eat cheese it gave me the most horrendous heartburn, so i had cheese on toast for lunch, then for our main dinner i made a Shepard's pie with lots of cheese grilled to perfection on top, it was the best i have ever tasted, hope all goes well, try and take things easy. best of luck.

I've not had a baby, but noticed your Q and wanted to pass on my congratulations. I'm glad everything went OK for you, I remember you seemed quite concerned. Sorry if it's not the right place for it!
