btw a normal period is once every 4 weeks. not on a certain day of the month. get on the pill if your not. it doesnt mean anything. it is your bodys way of telling you that your not completely regular yet.

That means that you are pretty regular. Some peoples cycles run long or short and some vary greatly. When you ovulate those are the days you cold get pregnant. Its usually about a 72 hour window, depending. I'm not sure what answer you were looking for.

Goldfish is right.... also -- go get one of those pregnancy tests that you can take 5 days BEFORE your period is due. I can't remember the name of that one right now -- but it will say that on the box and stand out in the pregnancy test area of your closest Wal-Mart or any drug or grocery store. Some dollar stores even sell preg tests.
Now --you probably are getting off lucky -- so count your blessings, and get on the pill or something you can be spontaneous with -- and not have to worry.
Good Luck -- I feel your nervousness -- been there myself -- almost all of us have.

Good luck

Unless you are actively tracking your vaginal temperature and cervical mucus every day, or if you're one who gets cramps during ovulation, you don't know when you're actually ovulating. Which means you don't know when youre fertile, either.

"14 days" and "2 weeks before period" are statistical averages that may or may not apply to individual woman, and may not apply every single month either. It's possible to ovulate late, early, or sometimes even twice.

You people are SO RUDE! I can't believe this!

You are NOT pregnant, you do NOT have and STD, and you're not dumb for asking a simple question.

Towards the middle of your cycle (between periods) you have 2-5 days where you are MOST likely to get pregnant through intercourse. Also, this is the time where your hormones are really uh...raging. So make sure you use a condom for those...raging moments. lol. Good luck!

It means you are normal. The average time of ovulation is the fourteenth day of an average length (twenty-eight day) menstrual cycle. It is normal for the day of ovulation to vary from the average, with ovulation anywhere between the tenth and nineteenth day being common.

That your cycle is normal? Most are 28 days apart but some go as far as 33 days apart, it depends on the woman and what her body sets up as natural.

It means that if you want to conceive a child, start having sexual intercourse on the 14th and don't stop until the 28th.
Other than that, consider yourself lucky...I've never had a regular period.
