I don't know what your asking.

Are you asking why Doctors. choose Cesareans over vaginal birth?
Fetal and/or maternal distress (threats to their lives) is the usual cause, but there are Doctors who will do them if the mother wants one.

I read about a Doctor in Southern California who doesn't believe that vaginal delivery is necessary or even beneficial to mother or baby. He (I can't remember his name or where he practices, sorry) believes that labor and delivery are an unnecessary stress and trial on both mother and baby and routinely schedules C-sections for completely healthy mothers and babies.

Pathology implies some kind of disease process. A cesarean delivery is not a disease process. It is a surgical procedure. You can learn about it by doing a Google search. C-sections are usually done when there is a serious problem with a normal vaginal delivery.
