My last name is Burt. I am having a hard time naming my son because if he only has a one sylable name than his full name would be two syables.

If I use a name like Al the full name is Albert. Dillon - DilBert, Rob - Robert, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Because your last name is shorter, I like a three- or four-syllable first name with it (although a two-syllable name would work, too.)

Timothy Burt
Christopher Burt
Jeremy Burt
Nicholas Burt
Gabriel Burt
Julian Burt
Jonathan Burt
Joshua Burt
Alexander Burt

I think a two-syllable middle name sounds best.
Jeremy Allen Burt
Nicholas David Burt
Jonathan Andrew Burt

Names with a "B" sound in the middle will flow well with the starting "B" sound in Burt.
Something like:
Sebastian Burt
Toby Burt
Alban Burt
Ashby Burt
Campbell Burt
Colbin/ Colby Burt
Corbin Burt
Darby Burt
Gabriel Burt
Reuben Burt
Robin/ Robinson Burt
Tobias/ Tobin Burt

Or, if you don't like those, some commonly liked combinations are:
Aidan Dominic
Andrew Michael
Calem Leon (cay-lem)
Cayden Tyler
Chandler Deacon
Cody Oscar
Dalton Tyler
Daniel Gage
Dawson Emery
Dustin Thomas
Ethan Alexander
Grady Liam
Ian Alexander
Jonah Eli
Kyon Isaac
Maddox David
Michael David
Patrick Alexander
Rocco Alexander
Spencer David
Tucker Kyle
Xavier Edward

Hope that helps! :)

I sure hope you aren't serious about those names. Albert Burt? That's so ridiculous not to mention redundant. How about longer names to go with your one syllable last name like Nathan, Michael, Jordan, Derek, Tyler, etc...
