it doesnt appear to be thrush because not spotted, just a film... is it just from his formula? we give him 3 bottles of formula per day... any ideas? thanks in advance :)

any juice or water? We had the same thing when our daughter was little, and ended up cleaning her mouth with antibiotics. It went away in a couple of days, and it does hurt if left untreated. Called stomatitis. Good Luck.

Thrush doesnt have to be spots, when its advanced it is a coating or a film. Formula shouldnt leave residue on his lips.

To me is sounds like the thrush.

Still sounds like thrush to me. If it doesn't go away in a week or so, probably better get it checked out. Might give him some water after he drinks his milk.

It could still be thrush. That is how it appeared on my daughters mouth at around 9 months. I would take your son to his pediatrician just to make sure.

Start brushing his teeth if you haven't already. It may be just flim from the bottle.
