my best friend has pet named her unborn baby 'Chamoula' (long and very funny story I won't go into....) because she doesn't know what she is having.
I also know of others that have nicknamed their babies before naming them........what was yours...???

I can't think of anything for this baby so suggestions would be good.
I'm probably not finding out what the sex is but I want a little nickname rather than always saying "the baby" or "it"

I usually just used baby or angel ... and I always knew what I was having, but that didn't matter.
Just pick something that has meaning to you. I have a relative that loves Pooh and that was their baby's nickname before birth.

Congratulations!

With the twins it was Venus & Mars. Like the old saying Men are from Mars, Woman are from Venus. We thought we were having one of each sex.
This belly is known fondly as Llama Chew. Long story. One of those you had to be there for.

PS congrats on the new baby!!!xxx

My mother nicknamed both my little sister and me when she was pregnant. She said the same thing, she didn't like calling her child "it" or "the baby".

I was Jasper, and my sister was Tonto.

We called our first baby "Beans." At the beginning, when reading a pregnancy book I explained to my husband that the baby was the size of a kidney bean. He started calling the baby "Beans" and it stuck from there!

When I found out I was having a boy I couldn't believe it, I already had 2 girls and expected another one. The sonographer snapped a pic of my boy's "bits" and typed willy with an arrow to them, from that day on we called him Willy. When he was born we named him Jett, but for a few weeks I kept calling him Willy.

I call it "the baby" or "this baby" if it's being good or "little poo" if it's not being so good (kicking me in the ribs, etc). My boss started calling the baby my "little squid" which I think is pretty funny.

When I was pregnant with my third child, we referred to it as "Fred". I had no idea if it was a boy or girl at the time. Ended up being a boy. I accidently called him Fred once when I brought him home. Bad habit!
