amberlyn, i am not being selfish, i didn't say i wouldn't have a c-section. just that i didn't want one. as if i would put my baby at risk and say no! but then i am hardly going to go WOO HOO A C-SECTION YEAH!! especially as i have 2 other kids to look after.

ange, why are you asking me that? i didn't ask you to ask me that. a section takes a lot of recovery time plus i don't want to spend a week in hospital after having my baby. there are other children in my family to think of aswell, one of which is disabled and hubby works. THATS why i don't want a section.

It is normal to be scare of c-section after all it is major surgery I would be scare too
when I was having my first child that was 19 years ago
after 23 hours of labor the doc pull my husband on the side to talk to him I started screaming my baby was fine where it was I was not about to have a c- section (that because at the time I heard so many horror story
but as for your case I think you still have some time, talk to your doc because I heard that their is method that can help the baby turn
Good luck & I hope thing work out the way you want them

Hi, I totally understand why you would not want to have a c-section, who the hell would WANT one? I can not understand the ridiculous answers you've had about being selfish and asking why you don't want a c-section! Surely everyone wants to be able to do it naturally rather than being cut open! The people that are asking you why you are so against c-section need their heads read, why would anyone choose one? My sisters baby was breach with a low lying placenta right up to about 32 weeks when they were going to plan for a c-section but by the time she went back at 34 weeks for another scan he had turned round and she then went on to have a natural birth! Please ignore the silly answers you've had! Good Luck! XXX

both of my friends babies were breech with a low lying placenta. Both moved head down and placenta moved up by 32 weeks. Both were born naturally without the need for c-section.

You have a good few weeks yet and anything can happen so don't stress out about anything you can't change and start familiarising yourself with c-sections so if it comes down to it, you know what to expect.

C-sections aren't the end of the world, it will just mean a safer and easier delivery for you and the baby.

good luck

I hope for your sake the baby does move from the breech postion. I am also 28 weeks along and are having the same issues that you are having at the moment. I wish you the best of luck with everything.
I also know that they try and get the baby to move before they just give you a c-section.

Well, I guess everyone's different. There certainly is enough time for him to turn round and he might.
My second baby was breech and I tried everything, crawling around on all fours (my mum said to do) even went to a Chinese herbalist who burnt herbs on my toes...(I know...). Nothing changed and the baby stayed breech. I was booked in for a c-section but like you really really didn't want one. I wanted what was best for the baby but no-one would give me their advice.

It seemed like no-one wanted to put their neck on the line and just kept saying "it's up to you". Finally my consultant said if I was his wife he'd say go for a natural birth seeing as I'd already had one without complications. He said my chances of still needing a section were 50/50. So I went for it and had her naturally in breech. Unfortunately when it came to it, there wasn't time for pain relief (almost gave birth in the car park!) except gas and air and I have to say it was almost unbearably painful compared to the first birth, given the choice again - I wouldn't rule out section, but don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. But my baby was born without complications and I was up and around in a day (or maybe two....) : ) Good luck. At the end of the day you want a healthy baby and you have to gather all the info you can and make the best choice for him.

i can understand where your coming from ,i have two children and am pregnant with my third and its not easy for you or hubby if your in hospital for 6 days then out of action for 6 weeks ,the baby still has plenty of time to move its just the placenta that im not sure of if its really low then i would suspect it wont move up far enough for a normal delivery ,maybe family and freinds could help out if you do need a c section .good luck.xx

someone i know was breech and they booked her in for c section and the baby moved night before she was due to have it so she ended up giving birth naturally after all. You have plenty of time for baby to move try not to worry, and i know it probably not help but i had a c section 4 weeks ago and they sent you home on 2nd day not a week after

Babies can do anything, mine did the opposite she switch 2 days before i was due, and went breech from being perfect for delivery. I had to have a c-section, i would prefer it, i don't know why but i was relieved that i didn't have to push and yes, i have no scar. But don't stress, stress is bad for the baby.

go on all fours and stick your chest to the floor with your bum in the air and sway side to side. do this about 3 times a day. this is supposed to encourage the baby to turn and hopefully ur placenta good luck
