Hi ya hun, to be totally honest if your OB is anything like my first doctor he advised me when i was 9 weeks that my baby may not survive as a lot of babies dont survive past the first 12 weeks....i was too gutted, i am now 32 weeks preggers this sat and everything is going great, my advise would be to change your doctor....and put on another appointment as soon as possible, your 1st trimester is hard enough on your body without the added pressure of your baby not surviving....to your doctor its only an embryo but to you and most other women this is already your little tiny baby......and you will do what you have to to protect it!
I hope that all is ok and i hope that you get a nicer doctor that will explain things to you without putting you through all this torment!.....PS. if they start and tell you about your baby being small dont listen by the time he/she comes out he/she will be big enough i was also tortured by my first doctor with this.

What a horrible thing to say without explaining!
I agree with the person that suggested writing down everything you want to ask and then bringing someone along. I have a dear friend who works as a medical mediator, it might be worth looking into. She goes to doctor's appointments with people and helps them talk to their doctors, she is a medical student and is able to use and translate terminology and get the doctor to fully answer the questions that the patient is asking (sometimes they like to talk around the question, or they assume you understand, even if you don't).
If nothing else, bring a level-headed friend, someone who can take good notes and not get too emotional. That way you can have something to look back on and someone to discuss it with who can help you make sense of it all.

Well Im not sure why she is concerned about it, but I do remember when I went for my first u/s, they measured me at 4 weeks, 4 days, and then later on I found out that I was actually 5 weeks at that time, so I dont think the couple days matters much. I would call and ask why she was concerned.

Talk to the OB! You shouldn't have left without understanding- did you get hurried off? Often happens, especially as you're sitting quiet trying to digest new information.
Hope for the best, and find out why the doc wasn't optimistic. God bless.

Give your doctor a great back slap from me!!!!!!
What a mean and nasty thing to say.
My doctor told me I measured in small with my first pregnancy and at 22 weeks they said Hay guess what?? Your having twins. My twins were born on the heavy side both made up their weight in the last few months.
You will be fine. Don't stress over it otherwise it may end up happening. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You need to ask your doctor. Write down any questions and concerns that you might have and take them with you. Also, take someone else with you to listen to what the doctor has to say. Sometimes two sets of ears are better than one. I wish you all the best.
