I have the same problem right now.

w my first i was 50%efacced and dialated to a 2 at 36 weeks and the doc said anytime she ended up inducing me at 41.5 weeks. Iam currently 37 weeks and dialated at 2 this baby is so low i can barely walk and i cant get her out.

Well to answer your question everyone is different so theres no telling but hopefully soon for you

sex and walking are the safest natural ways. Sperm helps you dialate so have him go inside you.
There is a spot on your ankles about 4 fingers up from the inside of the ankle bone that if you massage it its supposed to start contractions
castrol oil but i here it just gives you the runs and is not worth it
nipple stimulation gut you have to do it 3 times a day for an hour and it makes your contractions alot more painfull
evening promise oil inserted into your vagi na, prick a hole in the capsole and lie down
4 wheeling or bumpy car ride

you can't predict labour really. The baby will send out the hormones to start labour contractions when it is ready to come out but until then you can try sex to self induce. After sex, lay with a big pillow under your hips/bum so that the semen acts like the 'gel' to soften your cervix the rest of the way. I wouldn't recommend it if you are less than 38wks or have broken your waters already though as this could cause problems you don't need right now.

Be happy in the knowledge that things are happening and when it does start you only have to dilate 7 more cm instead of a painful 10cm!

Good luck and hang in there. Try walking as much as you can as well, as gravity will help pull the baby down more and get you 100% effaced.

best of luck

Ironically when I was pregnant with twins I was at the same point you are with the doctors barely able to keep the contractions over 10 minutes apart. This was on Thanksgiving and I didn't have them until Feb. 1.

Depending on how far along you are I wouldn't recommend a self-induced labor BUT I found out during my pregnancy that a chemical in the drug doctors use to induce labor performs the same action as sperm.

Just hang in there and you'll be so glad you did. Don't take any chances please! We lost one of the twins and I would give anything to be pregnant with her again just to know she's there. There was no explanation for the "why" so don't do anything out of the ordinary.

I wish you and the baby the best of luck and congrats!!

hiya have you got a pregnancy ball if you have try bouncing on it and do jumping jacks and run up and down the stairs sideways sounds crazy but it works trust me i would reccomend evening primrose oil capsules coz that ripens the cervix if you dont fancy sex and try red rasberry leaf tea that makes the uterine to contract, pineapples or breast/nipple stimulation but also you could ask your midwife or doc to do a membrane sweep to try to start you off im sure they will do one i have mine next week good luck
