We free-thinkers, we philosophers, we more scientifically sophisticated people...

I've been hanging around this category for a while.
At first I found it insulting - Believe or go to Hell; that kind of statement. Condescending, pointlessly threatening, an assault on reason and the dignity of man, etc...
Then I looked further at these people's answers. The "debate" over evolution. Most are scientifically illiterate. Certain questions aim at ridiculing their beliefs, but the subtelty passes 20 feet above their heads and they answer on honestly, hoping to save a soul, with apparently no inkling of the cultural divide that separates them from the asker.
I have grown amazed at the lack of basic debating skills posessed by some of them, their obvious lapses in grasping the subtelty of language and a certain mindset that seems to make them incapable of grasping all but the most basic black/white types of ideas.
I am not aiming at insulting anyone and I am not suggesting all faith

Three guys were working on a high rise building project: Steve, Bill and Charlie. Steve falls off and is killed instantly.

As the ambulance takes the body away, Charlie says, "Someone should go and tell his wife."

Bill says, "OK, I`m pretty good at that sensitive stuff, I`ll do it." 2 hours later, he comes back carrying a 6-pack.

Charlie says, "Where did you get that, Bill?" "Steve`s wife gave it to me."

"That`s unbelievable, you told the lady her husband was dead and she gave you the beer?"

Bill says,"Well not exactly. When she answered the door, I said to her, `You must be Steve`s widow.`"

She said, "`No, I`m not a widow."

And I said, "Wanna bet me a six-pack?"

I do not think that if hillary fails to gain the nomination any one of these Republicans can take Obama in the general Election.

Ron Paul could though.

Once a smart politician decides to marry his son. He calls his son and order him to marry a girl of his choice.

Son : Dad I am not yet made-up my mind to marry, hence I am not interested.

Dad : Do you know who the girl is ? she is daugther of Bill Gates.

Son : Okey. Then no problem I will get married.

The smart dad will go to Bill Gates and tells - an eligible bachelar is there in my view as a groom, are u interested in marrying your daughter to him.

Bill Gates : No I am not interested.
Smart Dad : Do u know who is the boy ? He is Vice President of World Bank.

Bill Gates : Okey. Then I will. Please proceed.

Then the smart politician will go to World Bank President and tells him - there is a bright boy - would you appoint him as Vice President of the World Bank.
President : Already we have several, not interested.
Smart Politician : Do u know who the boy is, he is son-in-law of Bill Gates.
President: : Okey . I will accommodate one more.

I know it should be thrown in the trash, but I don't want the pressure of other trash to crush it and then tear the trash bag. I'm thinking about smashing them into small pieces and burry them into the ground as a compost but I think painted glass takes forever to decompose. Any suggestions?

To be a person is a call, a great dignity, possesses an extrinsic worth. His response is his recognition and acceptance of God's image in him. His responsibility to (1) be oneself, (2) be with others, (3) be for others, like Christ the perfect man, the image of God in man

To make a long story short, how do we move a case forward to trial that has been stalled and stonewalled by the attorney for the people we are suing who has spent three straight years filing endless frivolous motions?

We have solid evidence which is why they dont want this to go to trial. We know it. They know it. Their attorney knows it. And after three years it should be clear to them that we have the time and money to continue with this case and that we have no intention of quitting.

So why would a judge tolerate these mindless motions into infinity? I understand that they have rights but dont we have rights as well?

Any opinions are welcome.
