Hi, i got an Asian 'singapore' PS3 for christmas, however, in the menu the circle button is SELECT and the x button is BACK?! wtf?
my question is does anybody know how to change this, as 2 of my games are region 1 and they use x as select so i keep having to change round and it is frustrating!!!
if you have any ideas please tell me!

If I have an HDMI cable, do I need the other component cables that come with the ps3 in order for the ps3 to work or can I just use the HDMI cable only without the components?

im trying to play fight night online, i have my ethernet cable plugged in and all, and the fight loads, and after about 10 seconds, it says you have been singed out of the PLAYSTATIONnetwork, and then it has i lost my connection to the other player, this always happens!! anyway i can fix it? when i test my internet connection all the tests pass too

I really want all current gen consoles like I did with last gen consoles. I already have a Wii and currently I have enough money to buy a PS3 or 360. Most of my friends have a 360 but I do enjoy being the only person in my group of friends to have something. Also what starting games should I get with the one I pick. If I bought a PS3 I want to buy Resistance or Warhawk with it and if I buy a 360 I'll probly buy like CoD 4 or the Orange Box. This is a really hard decision so your answer will help.

I hear its a great value and has great gameplay in all games included and its gotten great reviews but I also hear that when it was ported over to PS3 it got really bad.. I am low on games and I'm looking to build my library and this is a game that I'm looking at, on ebay I found one as low as $48 so I wanna get it. But as people who have played it or own it (hopefully) is it worth it to get it for PS3? thx

So Im about to buy a ps3 in 2 days

Im definately getting a warranty service plan for the ps3
walmart has the service plan for the ps3 for like 50 bucks for 3 years.

What im having a problem with is the best buy website.
I was trying to look for a service plan for game systems but ovbiosly they dont have it on the website or maybe i just miss it,

well who has been to best buy and bought there ps3 there and did they ask for if you wanted warrany or service plan...How much was it..how long was the service plan...

I want to buy a PS3. I do not have any PS2 or PS1 games so I am not concerned about compatibility. I do have wifi (wireless network) at my house so will I need the 80 just to be able to get on w/ my wireless setup? Are there any other advantages to having the 80gb over the 40gb? I just want to hook it up to my 56" DLP and surround sound, sit in my VRocker game chair and play. Thank you in advance.

Since they took out the semi-conductors and PS2 related hardware for playing PS2 games theres absolutely not backwards compatibility. Whats worse is that in Europe there are no 60Gb PS3s available so we're forced to keeps our PS2s plugged in even if we could afford the extra $100 for a bigger harddrive. I heard that there are plans to make the 80Gb PS3 backwards compatibile using software emulation. Could the same not be provided in a downloadable update for 40Gb PS3s? Since the as far as I know the 80GB and 40GB are identical except hard drive size, 2 extra USB ports and a memory card reader?
