Okay, just got the PS3 today. How do I find my friends online to play? Need step by step instructions please as I am new to this online play stuff...

There is plenty of ways. You can send them a friend request on your playstation network.
Or when you go online in Madden 08, go the "lobby". It is where all the gamers go and look for a game. So if you get your friends name online you can meet him in the lobby and talk to him and stuff and add him to your friends list. Its all pretty simple. You'll get use to it. Once you find him in the lobby, it will be really easy to get in touch with him and play and things.

If you know their PSN (Playstation Network) name just send them a message ! If not but u have their email just send them an email telling them your PSN so you can play them !
