Baby backpack? Bunjee a rearward facing carseat on the back? Front sling? Tank bag?

WTF? I see people with baby seats on bicycles. And how is a car any safer than a motorcycle? More babies die in car crashes than in motorcycle crashes. Heck, more adults die in car crashes than motorcycle crashes.

You think I'm goofing around? Have you ever been to Asia and seen a family of 7 on one moped? In midtown at rushhour?

A sidecar is excessive, but not a bad ida. However, I have a sportbike, so a sidecar is not really an option.

Ok, motherbe, if you are so smart, what does my screenname say?

Ok, smartypants mother-of-one,
So you figured out my screenname, but it just means I'm an @ssman, not a boobman. Also, I don't charge people money when they cross my bridge, so I don't know where you get the troll thing from.

typo: (above) that was to Mommy-of-One, not mother-of-one.

Saddlebags are good, especially if I had twins, you know, to distribute the weight better.

I vote backpack for sure!
Heck, if you decide to take the baby in your car, you can even tye it to the roof! Just make sure to use lots of bungee cord!
-yes, of course more babies die in car crashes than motorcycle crashes, how many babies have you seen riding on the back of a motorcycle? and how many babies have you seen riding in cars?
silly.
get some sleep.

EDIT::::::
***To answer the question you asked motherbe --
Your screen name means, 'CONTRIBUTION PERSON OF THE LOWEST PART' translated to, YOU'RE A TROLL. You just waste time by asking silly questions :)

Silly boy. I live in Japan and have traveled extensively around Asia. I have *never* seen more than 2 people on a moped... and they do *not* carry babies on their motorbikes/mopeds. yes, babies are on bicycles at a very young age... but still old enough to actually sit up and control their head.

I imagine if you tried *any* of the options you've listed, you would not only risk serious harm to the baby, but would probably have the baby taken from you by the first police officer who sees you.

Kathren has a point... in the case of extreme emergency, I think a front sling would be safest.

Just because I *live* here... doesn't mean I learned to read Hiragana/Katakana or especially Kanji. Trying to *speak* the language is hard enough... reading it is beyond me.

I do know the third char is "no" Tried to find the rest online but my computer doesn't support the kanji.

while i wouldn't let my husband or even myself take our baby on the motorcycle, i do let my 5 year old ride around with my husband once in a while, its not a bad thing to want to take your kid for a ride, a nice slow safe ride, you have a sport bike, so this isn't a good idea, sport bikes are not for traveling really anyway, if you have what we call a "crotch rocket" most the people i know who buy those are young and asking to be killed..

the problem with a baby rather then a kid is they can't hold on, they are relying on you to keep them in place, at least the kid can hold on you see, i would never feel safe strapping a carseat to the bike, and holding the baby is out of the question because you have to hold the bars and steer that sucker. IF you MUST take the baby on the bike IE no other mode of tranporation and it is an emergency, i would suggest a sling, so that the baby is strapped to your body, meaning if you are safely on the bike, so is the baby.. but please, don't take the baby on your bike..

Hi. I am sorry to say that I do not think there should be anyway to put a baby on a motor bike, especially if you live in a large town like we do. The cars do not seem to care one bit if a bike is in front of them. The cars are the reckless ones with the bikes and they put everyone in danger. We live in Clearwater, Fl, where there is a lot of traffic and bikes fighting for the same space. If you need a babysister while you bike, I"ll do it. I'd love to do it., seriously!!! The baby can watch the Animal Planet with me.

I suggest that you try to purchase a vehicle so that the baby can be alot safer and now that it is winter the baby can catch a really bad cold. But to answer your question I think it would be better a front sling so that you can make the baby is ok.

I haven't seen anything for a baby on a motorbike here in Zushi, Japan. If absolutely necessary i agree that a front sling/carrier would be best

There was a question like this on here before. I thought it was crazy before and still do. In my state it's illegal but you aren't in my state so....front sling would have to be the safest I think for an emergency.

Buy a car. There is no safe way to secure a baby on a motorcycle.
