Ok, I have a baby that is going to turn one on Dec. 7. I have a couple of things that I need advice on. First, he has a bit of a biting problem. He does this towards me most of the time and only occasionaly towards others like his dad and siblings. I don't know if he is trying to kiss me and maybe is teething and goes for a bite, but why only me? He comes towards me with his little mouth wide open and then takes a bite and pulls away. It's getting painful and I don't know what I can do about it being he is only one year old. I think he is way too young for disipline like time out and I'm not sure how to go about it since I never had this problem with the first 2. Then another thing is he is starting to throw tantrums, I thought it was too young but he's doing it. He throws himself on the floor and cries if I walk a step away from him. I've been with him 24/7 since he was born so could this be separation anxiety? I don't know but I need some opinions.

If I have a girl, do you think light pink and brown would be a good choice? I found a ladybug bedset that is pink and brown... maybe you've seen it.

it has been like that for a while now...I knew that because I always felt his hiccups so far down. Anyways today for the first time in weeks I felt his hiccups right by my stomach...does that mean he has moved??? Can babies move their position once they are that low??

My daughter is almost 9 months old and has 4 teeth erupting at once 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom.they are pretty far apart they almost look like her lateral incisors.i found info that says when baby teeth come in farther apart theres a better chance her adult teeth will be straight.

My question is... Did your childs teeth come in far apart?

I should be around 4 weeks pregnant! This is around the time I should have started my period. I just went to pee and I noticed a very small amount of blood...I waited and there was nothing more. Is this normal?

I chose the name Leilani Lorene because:

Leilani means heavenly flower.
Lorene means the laurel tree or sweet bay tree symbolic of honor and victory which Lorene was my deceased Grandmother's middle name and my deceased Godmother name (Bernice) means bringer of victory.

Do you like the name Leilani Lorene? Do you think that is a good way to honor and remember both of them?

Thank you and no smart comments will be appreciated.

Just getting a general idea here... How do you feel about unisex/ androgynous baby names for a child? There are so many unsex names out there that are so adorable. Do you think a girl could carry a unisex name perhaps better than a boy?

My husband has a unsex name and hates it. When people read his first name they always assume he's a female... However we are pregnant and compliling a list of baby names. So far, the girl names that we love are all unisex names. What is your opinion on unisex names?

Thanks ya all.

I'm 23, have always wanted children, I live on my own comfortably, make a decent living (not rich not poor) but I got preggo unwed and with a man who bailed out on me as soon as he found out. Despite him leaving, everyday I feel a little more confident that raising this child will be the best for both me and my child.

However the father (who's also 23) and his family cannot stop arguing that I'm making a huge mistake by keeping this child. They say I"m not looking out for its best interest b/c the best life would be w/ a 2 parent home. They email me, call me, show up at my house every few days and won't leave me alone! Their arguments go something like this: 1) you are too young 2) you dont have money saved 3) you're not married 4) you're only one person 5) needs 2 PARENTS no matter what

What can I do to make them shut up or go away?! Statistics or testimonies of adopted children might help...I dunno, I'm at my wits end with them here. Help!

Ok some of the girls on this particular section of answers talk about how they are trying to get pregant with their boyfriends. Why do some of you feel the need to tell them that what they are doing is wrong??? If they are in a committed enough relationship than there should be no problem. I am only engaged and I am 5 weeks pregnant. How ever being that you all feel the need to judge you wouldn't know that we have been together for 4 years and were trying to get pregnant. I guess my question is why do some of you feel like you should shove your beliefs on other people who don't ask for it. And for those of you who have had this happen to you before please tell me how you handled it!!

I have a teenage daughter from a previous relationship, had no problems with that pregnancy at all. Now I'm 32, married, my husband has no children of his own and he'd really like one. I was open to having another, too, but - I recently found out that I have high levels of specific antibodies in my blood which make me prone to having heart attacks, blood clots, and strokes. Pregnancy increases these risks. If I were to become pregnant, I'd be considered 'high risk' and I'd have to inject blood thinners daily into my abdomen from the start of my pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum.
I've already had a stroke, and I was lucky that it was small and in a place that left me no weakness or deficeincies. I'm scared to get pregnant now that I know the risks to me and to baby, but my husband is still really wanting to do this. When I tell him I'm scared he just says I'm worried for nothing, that I'd be fine.
Now what do I do?

I am seven weeks today. The queasiness started about ten days ago. I don't let myself throw up, because I'm afraid it will make it worse and I won't be able to stop. But it's getting really hard and I feel disgusting all the time.

When they want to do everything with their grand/daughter/son?
When they want to keep them 24-7 therefore leaving the parent with no responsibility? Buying them everything and not teaching them any value?
Babysitting for the parents, when they are doing nothing and watching t.v all day long?
