it has been like that for a while now...I knew that because I always felt his hiccups so far down. Anyways today for the first time in weeks I felt his hiccups right by my stomach...does that mean he has moved??? Can babies move their position once they are that low??

I know that he is engaged in the pelvis. I don't know if I am dialated but I am 50% effaced.

If he's low in the pelvis, no he wont move. But you can feel hiccups in any place, it doesnt mean that the baby has moved. Vibrations move differently when in fluid, so it doesnt meant the hiccups are coming from his chest near your belly.

My son was engaged in my pelvis at 31 weeks. This was confirmed by ultrasound, he COULDNT move out of the pelvis, his head was too far in. But I would feel hiccups waaaaaay up under my left ribs. I dont know HOW it happens, but it does.

Once baby has dropped and is very far down they simply cannot move because their heads are too heavy and too far down.

No they don't. Maybe you felt a reverberation from down low, like a hand being jerked around by hiccups or something.

Yes the baby can move position right up until they are about to be born. They just have less space to do it when they are bigger

Yes they can, tell this to your dr at the next visit. It is easy to check but important to check.
