my baby is 1 now and still cant talk coherently..he talks but they are baby talks that only he can understand...he says mama but it obviously doesnt refer to me at all or it doesnt show that he knows its me or what mama is , its just certain sounds he emits...

Okay, I just found out I was 12 weeks pregnant two weeks ago. I was on the depo shot, and wasn’t trying to get pregnant, but it happened. Doc said everything looks okay with the ultrasound and heartbeat and all that. Its just I smoked pot the WHOLE first trimester everyday after work and on the weekends, and on days off, due to various pains (not looking for judgment). But I quit as soon as I found out I was pregnant, and now since I quit two weeks ago (I am 14 weeks pregnant now) I have be HORRIBLY sick in everyway, I have missed a lot of work now due to this sickness that’s how bad it is! I thought I was doing the RIGHT thing by quitting when I found out, but it seems like I am in worse shape since I quit smoking, should I have wean myself off pot instead of quitting cold turkey? I told my doc about the smoking during my first visit, and he said even though I did smoke the whole first trimester, he doubts it caused any effects..was I right to quit cold turkey? Experiences?

I feel that I when I feel pressure for stool, my stool are already down there close to rectum. i dont have to oush much. And also I feel I am not able to empty bladder at once. I finish peeing and than find out there is little more to come and than little more before I finish completly. Sometimes I think I am finished and than I have to sit again to little bit remaining pee. What's happening down there??

I cant help but feel horrible for the family that lost their child to some idiot's way of "finding out if she was talking bad about her daughter". To be honest, I have so many issues and views with this its not even funny, but this is not a blog, this is Y!A so I'll ask how you feel about these circumstances.

As the parents of the child who committed suicide, do you charge the mother who made up this entity?

Do you hold this woman responsible for the child's death or do you hold yourself accountable for not paying more attention to what your child was doing online?

We see it everyday. MSNBC I think covers it more often than not, stories about how predators are online after our children. That woman set out to destroy that impressionable young lady and her death was unnecessary. My son is actually 3-1/2 and I think it is a good age to start school (daycare/preschool). Would you agree?

In addition, I work from home so running around after a 3 year old is distracting to say the least. :)

BUT...I fear for my son's safety. How many sad and tragic cases have we seen on the news where a child was abused or neglected by his/her caregiver? What about all of those sick pedophiles out there?! I just feel more comfortable if I were close to my son where I can keep an eye on him.

What can I do to ease my fears?!

My son is out of control! I know that children are a reflection of you but my daughter does not act as bad a my son. He does not do time out. He tell's me no, spanking only makes him cry. So I am having my childs party at a facility that houses, 25 of those inflatable jumpers, I am getting pizza for the kids and I will keep the kids (25) there for 2 hours. So I am spending way more than I anticipated.

What is the rule for goody bags? Do I have to give them? There are going to be 25 +/- children going..if I do decide to give bags any ideas on what to give? I hate the idea of bags filled with crap, I would rather give a $5 gift certificate to all the kids for a local restuarant

Well bascially..theres me & rachel & jenny & rob & mike & danny

rob & danny are brothers..mike is robs best friend
me & rachel & jenny are all best friends
rob & jenny are a couple
me & mike are fwb 8-)
and rachel & danny have just split up

we all used to go out on a weekend and we would stay at robs & dannys house because we couldnt stay at anyone elses because theres no room..but anyways since rachel and danny have split up..danny doesnt want rachel in the house. he wont just be friends with her and he will only let her in the house if she is going to talk to him to patch things up and go back out with him. she doesnt like him more than a friend but wants to be friends with him..danny cant accept this though and says it will take ages before he can get over her and be friends. its spoiling our weekends out. we cant just go out then stay at theirs because of how danny feels.. wht do we do?

My daughter has two car seats for her daughter. Right now the baby is in a Graco infant seat. I bought them an extra car seat base for her husbands car. When she gets a bit bigger she will be in a Evenflo carseat. My question is will this carseat fit on the Graco base? Or does she need a different base if she wants to have an extra one for her husbands car? Thanks.

I prewashed all of babies clothes in Purex Baby Detergent. I am about to put them all in the dryer. Are normal dryer sheets okay to use, or should I not use any dryer sheets at all??

I'm naming my daughter "Miley", but my husband and I cannot agree on a middle name. He likes "Amber" and I like "Elizabeth" or "Lauren" for a middle name. Does anyone else have any suggestions? If u had in the past, would u or would u not tell ur kids that u have done drugs/drink? This morning there was a debat on the radio about telling ur kids what bad things u have done in ur past. Some say telling them will only influence them to try it...while others think not telling them is better off.

Can someone out there tell me why doctors say it is ok to give your baby cows milk based formulas, but you should not give your baby cows milk before they are at least 1 year old? Seems like a contradiction.

we just started solids (well baby food I mean) a few weeks age. he has his next ped appt in about a week but until then, can someone tell me just tentatively how many servings of each I should feed him? I know he gets most of his nutrients from the formula still, I'm actually wanting to make sure I don't give him to much fruit or meat or whatever. He is in the stage 2 little stubby jars.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know AF showed up about 20 minutes ago in full force with major cramps just like normal. I guess the brownish spotting was just something that happens. I didn't know what to expect this cycle as it is my first one being off of Clomid. I am not too upset actually. I kind of believed AF would come. I am really excited to try again this month! We have decided to see my doctor again in January and maybe do more cycles of Clomid and then see a specialist if needed. My dr really believes Clomid will work for us. I had a moment of panic thinking that I should go ahead and chart this cycle and/or use opk's. What do you think or should I stand strong and just relax again this month? This month was relaxing and stressfree until the last 5 days of it.LOL! Sorry I didn't have more positive news but I am not giving up hope. I know I have God on my side through this plus family and friends and all you amazing people. Thanks again & best wishes getting your BFP!

I am 25 weeks pregnant with twins girl, yesterday during a sono they notice that my cervix was thinning... way thin, less than half a centimeter... So, my doctor admitted me to the hospital last night, I am supposed to stay here for a while, they are doing everything they can to stop my girls from coming out yet. But in case that they do come out, do any of you have any experience or has heard of twins born at 25 weeks? How did it go?

P.S. I am REALLY scared.

My son weighs 18 lbs (almost 6 months old) is going to outgrow his infant carrier at 22 lbs.
I am interested in Britax because of their safety features and with my Christmas bonus coming money is not an issue.
I am looking into Britax's convertible seats and I'm not sure but I'm leaning towards the Boulevard.
Anyone have any experience with this one? I am installing it in a Jeep Liberty.

Im 21 weeks pregnant. my pre-pregnancy weight was 117 and i'm 5'4'' now i weigh 129. am i gaining too much too fast? i worry because i have a bad back and already have to schedule a c section so i dont want to gain more weight than i should. thanks!

I'm just wondering if I'm going to look like an idiot if I go looking for maternity clothes. I'm going into my fifth week and prior to my pregnancy I was a size 2 and my doc told me I need to gain weight inorder to get pregnant so I went from 110 lbs. to 118 lbs. with my tight clothes still fitting but now that I'm almost 5 weeks and 120 lbs. everything is so snug that I feel like I'm going to explode out of it all. My breasts are larger and my stomach is bloated. I'm sort of stuck in the middle do I go buy regular clothes but just a few sizes bigger or should I jump into maternity clothes and grow into them??? What does everyone think?? I'm really uncomfortable :-(

How do you get out of naming your child after the father? We are expecting our first together, if its a boy, he wants to name him Willie James, I refuse to name my son that!!! So that is not an option on my end. I can deal with the middle name as a middle name only. I was looking at Christian for a boy or a girl. I am not naming my child Willie. He is so mad right now, its our choice and I have the right to refuse right?
