Goodness, he's only 3 months old! Most babies crawl somewhere between 6 and 12 months. He'll do it when he's ready - it's not something you can 'teach' him.

Just keep putting him on his belly for a few minutes each day try laying a toy or something he really takes interest in out in front of him as well. Over time he will try to get that item. Every child crawls at a different time and some don't ever crawl at all and just eventually go to walking.

He is really young still and won't be crawling for awhile. But you can help him build the mussels he needs to get there. Do alot of tummy time and if he has a favourite toy place it in front of him arms length away. He needs to do a few steps before he gets to the crawling stage. He has to pull himself up on his arms. Alot of children will do the wiggle before they crawl. Give it a little more time and keep up with the tummy time. You might think about getting one of those tummy mats that have water in them but you have to watch him all the time on one of those. Good Luck and Have fun they grow up so fast...

A very advanced baby is not going to crawl until 5 or 6 months. The normal age is around 8 months. Is he even rolling yet? As long as he's holding his head up good and alert, you have nothing to worry about.

so far my son is five months old and he is not interested in going on his belly or trying to crawl heseems more intersted in standing on his legs and has since 2 and a half months so i think he will get around by holding furiture first. I thought that babies start between 6 and 9 months so i am not to bothered at moment and im sure you should not worry for the time being!

Camille, what are you talking about. if they dont crawl, they cant walk or will need corrective shoes.?? well let me tell you, some babies skip crawling all together, like my daughter did, she walks just fine and dosnt need corrective shoes. also as far as the bow legs, most children are bowlegged untill a little later on being as how they dont have knee caps untill around the age of 2!!
as for a 3month old crawling,.... be patient, way to early to be teaching him. mine is 8 months and just begining the hands and knees step.

No babies crawl that early. Just keep putting him on his tummy then play with toys next to him then pull them up infront of his face so he has to pull up his head to look at it. Just keep trying and he'll eventually get it. He has quite a few months until he is going to be crawling.

He is only 3 months old!!!! Give him a chance. Give him tummy time during the day, it will help him get his muscles stronger. My daughter didn't start crawling until she was about 8 months old.

yes your baby will crawl. every baby is different and learn at their own pace. they are still unsure of what is going on. most babies dont start pushing up until about 5 months. there is nothing to be worried about. he will get it eventually just dont force him to do it. enjoy these precious moments, there is no need to rush these things. i know i have a son myself and one on the way. and now mine is walking and i was wishing he would go back to just laying there.
