If the evenflo is a convertible carseat - it wont use a base. Is it something like evenflo Triumph or Tribule? This is what a bigger (say 1 year old child) would be in.

As the other posters pointed out, it depends on the type of Evenflo carseat as to whether or not it needs a base. If it needs a base, it is the same size as the graco and won't be any bigger to fit her. And no, it won't work with graco bases. The evenflo ones I've come across with bases actually don't work without the base, meaning you can't use even use them with just a seatbelt as you can with the graco. Return the evenflo if it has a base and get a convertible. I got the cheap little costco convertible when my daughter was 6 months old, she fit it nicely and now that she is a year, she's been flipped around and the same seat will fit her until she's 2 or 3 or 4, and then it's on to the way cheaper booster seats anyway. Good luck!

Please DO NOT put an Evenflo car seat into a Graco base. That is an infant fatality waiting to happen. They are designed differently and will probably not fair well in an accident.
However, I don't think that this is even a question that needs to be asked. As you said that she will be in an Evenflo car seat when she is bigger ... When she is bigger and in the Evenflo carseat I imagine it will be a fixed carseat, ie it doesn't attach to a base in car and have a carrying handle. Only infant carseats have those nice features. If they are in a convertible carseat that whole car seat must be moved from car to car. Evenflo carseats are relatively inexpensive and harder to install so I would suggest buying a second one for the other car if you will be switching back and forth between cars. Britax car seats, while more expensive, have better safety ratings and are much easier to install and move from car to car.

first there is a difference in the infant seat and car seat. a infant seat can come in and out of the car to carry the child. the carseat stays in the car and you carry child in your hands.
if you mean carseat that stays in the car w/o a base then NO WAY! that carseat has to be STRAPPED in w/ the seatbelt. it can not be attached to a base.
if you mean a different infant seat then again, no. it is made by someone completely different and you risk it malfunctioning in the event of a accident.
EDIT TO ADD: To the poster below me, not all infant seats do that. mine did not have the side slots for the seatbelt w/o the base.
if that is what one wants to do, make sure its able to do it w/ the slots in the sides and says so in the manual

It depends on the carseat & the base. I would call the manufacturer of the carseat or the base (or both) and find out if they're compatible.

you dont really need a base, the base is there so you just have to click the seat into it and not fuss with the seat belts all the time cause its the base that is stapped in. the car seats can be transfered from car to car with out the base at all. i would just buy and extra car seat and not even worry about the base. that would be easier....
i never used to base with my kids, i felt safer with the seat belt right on the car seat.

The problem is that even if it does fit, all the safety mechanisms may not line up just exactly. It could be dangerous. I'd say just use the car seat without the base.
