I am seven weeks today. The queasiness started about ten days ago. I don't let myself throw up, because I'm afraid it will make it worse and I won't be able to stop. But it's getting really hard and I feel disgusting all the time.

It varies for every woman, but typically goes away between 14-18 weeks.

Try this - morning and night take 1/2 of a Unisom tablet and 1 B-50 complex vitamin (both are safe and available over-the-counter). After 3-7 days you should see a lessening of your nausea and sickness. It might also help the sickness to end sooner.

I was sick with ALL of my pregnancies and with my 4th (currently 22 weeks pregnant now) I finally gave this remedy a try after trying everything else out there. It worked for me! I had less nausea and could eat more, and my morning sickness was gone by the 13th week even though it was typical of me to be sick for up to 20 weeks.

Beyond that, the only other thing is prescription medication, but the doctor will usually only prescribe it if you vomit every day.

All the best to you....hang in there!

Try ginger---as in gingers snaps or ginger ale. It usually goes away for most women, but there are a few unfortunate ones who suffer the whole time. They say eating crackers before you get out of bed can really help (before you get yourself upright--I really liked oyster crackers). For some reason, I always gagged when I was brushing my teeth in the morning. I switched to sensitive toothpaste and it really made a difference. I've also heard about B vitamins that are supposed to help. Stay hydrated and if you feel like you can't eat or keep things down, talk to your doctor because there is medication you can take, too. Congrats!

Well sorry to put a damper on things but I was sick every day until I hit about 16-17 weeks. The thing that helped best for me was ginger tea (take about a teaspoon full of ginger in boiling water -- tastes awful but it's a cure for almost any stomach problems, especially periods when those come back!) If you can't handle the taste of the ginger tea they sell ginger caplets over the counter, just take one of those, two if very severe. Congratulations and hang in there!!! Things will get better. Just think -- after the morning sickness subsides you'll probably be very close to feeling the baby move! :D

The thing that worked the best for me was before you even get out of bed in the morning drink a little water and eat a cracker or two and then sit in bed for about 15 minutes. That always worked for me.
Sometimes letting yourself throwup may make you feel alittle better too. Just remember to stay hydrated.
Good Luck! It will go away soon.

Oddly enough, sweetened iced tea first thing in the morning, plus crackers, really helped me. I don't know why it worked, but it worked. My mom told me about it because it worked for her. Maybe something about the sugar and caffeine to give you a jump start! Just go easy on the tea since you are supposed to watch your caffeine, or try decaffeinated.

It was the only thing that helped me. I drank it every morning for about 4 weeks, and then it stopped completely!

There is not much you can do to stop it. I used to eat crackers and that didnt help. After I threw up I would usually feel a lot better. Hopefully it passes. I had it bad I even lost weight and was sick till I had my daughter

my sister in law used those motion sickness wrist bands and she said they worked really good for her. im almost positive you can get those anywhere like a wal mart.i know they are for motion sickness but they put a little pressure on a certain pressure point that relieves the nausea.
