You are right. This is classic round ligament pain. Mine are so sharp sometimes I have to suck in my breath and sit down. Can't even stand up! It's embarrassing in public LOL.

It feels like the world's worst stitch or "side ache" and shouldn't last for more than a couple of minutes. It's typical to get these pains more in the 2nd trimester and one or two times a day is not unusual at all.

As painful as they are, at least you can get excited about the fact that it means your uterus and your baby are growing!

I'm 22 weeks along so I'm about where you are and going through the same thing, also with lots of good baby movement. I would not worry at all.

I had pains just like what you are describing when I was pregnant. And it was ligament pains. There is a lot of pressure that your body is not used to. Good luck, I remember how awful they felt.

You need to relax, have no stress and you have to control your emotions. In the next weeks before you give birth you might want to avoid controling the situation and whatever happens. It might be better if your husband takes care of details while you think of the baby. About medical details, pain killers are to be taken cautiously because you are pregnant, perhaps you can ask your doctor about this.
