there is nothing that will stop a miscarriage, worrying about it, is just causing stress on your body which is never good sweetie.the risk of miscarriage drops alot after the first 12 weeks, and then u find something else to worry about. if i was u i would sit back, take it easy, no stretching or heavy lifting and just relax and enjoy being pregnant (what will be, will be). if a miscarriage was to occur it is not your fault, it is your body's way of telling u there was something wrong with baby that couldnt have been prevented. most women have a perfectly happy pregnancy and i am sure u will be one of them :-), but if for some unfortunate reason something was to happen, u need to be aware it wasnt the right time for u and next time will be x x all the best and congrats, keep us posted and all the best x x x sending baby dust your way x*x*x*x*x

Don't worry. Really. Miscarriage is not very uncommon, but it has nothing to do with your coughing or moving or anything liek that. Miscarriage usually has to do with chromosomic abnormalities of the fetus, i.e. a pregnancy that is not successful because the embryo cannot develop normally and stops by itself.
What you must do to protect your baby is:
1. follow the doctor's instructions and do the blood tests and sonograms that he tells you. Check for toxoplasma, cmv, your hbcg levels (and how the raise), and a sonogram in 2 weeks to see that the baby os in the right palce.
2. Don't drink or smoke. These cause miscarriages and bad health to the baby.
3. Don't use any drugs.
4. Have a healthy diet, with a lot of veg (very well washed) and meat (very well cooked). The cooking and washing is exssebtial to avoid bacteria that can cause serious damage to the baby, like toxoplasma.
5. Don't stress. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy. And remember miscarriage has nothing to do with your movement. Sure, you don't need to jump up and down all day, but continue your life normally.
I am sure you will have a lovely baby!

I think alot of people feel this way, so don't worry it's normal.
I remember feeling like I just wanted to curl up in bed for the first 12 weeks and being scared to cough, poo, everything!
Please don't panic - you won't miscarry unless there's something abnormal about the way the baby is forming; if you have a particularly hard bump to the belly; if you are not taking good care of yourself health wise.
The baby is so small at this stage and protected in it's amniotic fluid, under muscle and fat.
Even if you have a little bit of spotting does not mean the end of your pregnancy.
I miscarried in 2004 and was panicing throughout my 2nd pregnancy. I had light bleeding for the first few weeks and still went on to have a perfectly healthy baby in 2006.
If you are concerned and have some bleeding then definitely contact your GP.
Take folic acid every day up to 12 weeks too.
Try to enjoy your pregnancy.

First of all its perfectly normal to worry not just at the beginning but all through your pregnancy but it won't do you any favors worrying. Just relax and look after yourself. After 12 weeks there is a much lower risk of miscarriage but until then calm down and hope everything will be OK

About 80% of pregnancies survive without a miscarriage. Worrying doesn't help! Just be as healthy as you can, including folate supplements.
If it's any consolation, I got an electric shock in my first pregnancy; parvovirus with my second; and plenty of bumps etc with both ... and both kids are healthy and very bright!

Your more likely to miscarry if you eat the wrong foods than have a little bump I mean soft cheeses like brie and camembert, some seafood, softserve ice cream (this can be hidden in 'thick shakes' like McDonalds or Wendys), cold meats from the delicatesion, ...
Your doctor can give you a list of what not to eat as certain foods can contain a bug known as listeria which can harm baby. Also more than 2 cups of normal strenght coffee can lead to miscarriage. Has something to do with level of caffine intake.
I had a car accident and my baby was fine.

I don't know how "easy" it is to miscarry. But I know you feel scared. I was the same way. It seemed like forever until I got into the "safe" zone (aka 2nd trimester - but you can still miscarry in the 2nd). Well, I would say just take prenatals, don't go on any rollercoasters or jump on the trampoline...I dunno what else... I was careful not to lift too much. But don't be afraid to do everyday things. It's just gonna make you worry more! Try not to worry! You'll just stress yourself out. Relax, all you can do is wait and see. Good luck !
